They say they have important questions but with only a few minutes to ask those questions they use the first minute to make jokes and make Wizard of Oz analogies. Brilliant. The "whatever" comment was well placed because of the ridiculous line of questioning. Of course the leader of a country or a business is ultimately responsible for what happens on his or her watch but there are levels of responsibility. The person who actually overseas the process is the person responsible for it's success or failure. If that person has a boss then their boss is responsible for his or her selection to take on the job. Everybody knows this so there is no reason to take the time to ask those questions unless you want to try to get a sound bite to use in you propaganda machine. It was a trick question so she said "whatever". I applaud her.

Exactly. Having health insurance didn't always guarantee that a person would get the actual health care they needed. Many times the insurance companies would deny coverage, which forced people to pay out of pocket or worse.
And, that's why the Democrats passed the Affordable Care Act. [ big buck toothed grin, complete with head nods ]

and health insurance companies are still in control! they can still deny coverage if the treatment isn't covered. pre-existing conditions can't be used as an excuse but there will certainly be situations where they will deny coverage. and the high deductibles on these obamacare plans? obama and the democrats have given the insurance companies a massive easy out to pay and the consumer gets stuck with the first $6000 in medical costs before they even get a cent on insurance coverage. yeah, real great deal. only a complete liberal imbecile would be smiling at that situation.

Still sticking to your babbling word salads sans proof, eh? Only a complete rightie imbecile like yourself waxes poetic about the days when people did get denied for pre-existing conditions, then blames the Insurance companies in the enxt post.. If you hate the insurance companies that much, than maybe single-paper would appeal to you? Personally, I'll stick to a market based system, but one that is regulated to be favorable to ME as a consumer.

GOP bloggers are so comical!! Not really the are efin hypocrites!!! The same people that tried to defend Medicare part D when the website didn't work at first are complaining about this website not working. If they weren't the GOP I would say people are pretty stupid but its the GOP and it comes with the territory.

"nobody does fotr lack of healthcare insurance because people cannot be denied care. and having health insurance does not guarantee a person actual healthcare they can use when they need it. even today try calling and seeing your doctor the same day? it just does not happen. if you are lucky you might be able to see a nurse. and this will become far far worse. you simply do not drop millions and millions of people into an already stressed system and expect to see nothing break.

only delusional liberals, devoid of any contact with reality, think you can do this without dire consequences like very long wait times and deaths waiting for treatment."

People die for lack of health insurance. It's not debatable. Your imagination and rudimentary understanding of EMTAALA might combine to give you fun fantasies about everyone magically getting long-term treatments they need, but you're 100% wrong. People without insurance don't get regular diagnostic tests available to others with insurance and, as a result, they fall ill and disease progression is caught too late for them to survive, when they otherwise would have survived had they been tested and diagnosed earlier. It is a consistent, prevalent, widespread problem for the uninsured. Moreover, long-term outpatient therapies that save lives on a regular basis are not treated as "emergency conditions" under EMTAALA that must be "stabilized" or "treated" prior to discharge or transfer of the presenting patient. As a result, they are unavailable to those without insurance, who must instead wait until the underlying disease process reaches critical mass and turns into an "emergency condition" before they can get treatment under EMTAALA. There are myriad other ways the uninsured end up dead from not having insurance. You clearly are just running your mouth based on a very limited knowledge base and how you IMAGINE it all should work and fit together and whatever talking points and buzzwords you can piece together. The FACTS and EVIDENCE and DATA and NUMBERS prove you wrong.

    Lynda Minnesota
I've been reading the posts and the back and forths between the usual suspects and our gang and I've laughed out loud all day today.
This fervor from the right reminds me of the way they were defending Mittens and giving us all the reasons why he would be victorious in 2012. As a matter of fact Lynda, it reminded me of the fervor that they have exhibited everytime they think that they've got the President on the ropes.
What's even funnier is how their hopes have been dashed against the rocks for the past 5 years. The higher their misplaced hopes the harder they're hurled back to earth by a universe that does not buy into their nefarious wishes for our country and our President, and which will not abide malicious intent disguised as concern for the country.
This too shall pass, and the President and the country will be all the better for it.
Obamacare – because apparently he is the only one that did and does.
