Washington (CNN) - For the first time, the U.S. Senate approved legislation that would protect gay, lesbian and transgender employees from discrimination in the workplace.

Republicans continue to discriminate against a large majority of the people. They are racist against minorities, women, and now gays.

So if transgender is a protected class will Obamacare require that we all pay more for insurance to pay for transgender operations? Massachusetts courts have already ruled the state must pay for one for a person serving jail time. It is only a matter of time before this liberal perverted society is funded by all of us.

And the bigots still win because they control the House.

  5. GOP = Greed Over People

I would not hold my breath, since the House GOP denied domestic violence laws to protect women. Guess since the GOP considers them chattel,it is ok to take the occassional swing at them.

At some point, hopefully, the GOP will deem ALL Americans worthy of protection from violence and discrimination!

So maybe if the LGBT community would get into the marijuana-growing business, Barry and the liberals in Congress would push for Reform ( or elimination) of Marijuana laws.

@anonymous, I don't see any deaths occurring with this liberal perverted society. Only happier healthier people. I notice you didn't mention having to pay thousands of times more for 2 wars that have killed thousands, or subsidies for multi billion dollar corporations. So who's perverted?

    @Data
"The website rollout is already starting to fade as the website improves. The question will be if the 3% of Americans who lost their junk plans will have replaced them with better ones through the Marketplace"

I'm not sure why you, who doesn't appear to be judgemental, would make a comment like that. You are just parroting such a silly line (and I know your aversion to talking points ). First off, you know it's not only 3% that are negatively affected by this law. You know it's a much higher number and even if it was only 3%, that's 15,000,000 Americans that you basically are saying you don't give a rip about and also make the notion that you know what's better for them. It's an incredibly arrogant position to take and while I only "know" you through these threads, that's not an adjective I would have ever used to describe you.

It's not right to call them "junk" plans when you have no idea what is in those individual plans for individual people based on their individual needs – maybe some of them are bad plans but I don't profess to know that because I don't know their situation. You can say that they now will get more coverage but what if they don't want that? Remember, 80-85% of people were happy with the quality of their healthcare. That's a real statistic. I'm interested to hear your response.

well, at least the Senate is doing their Job, unlike the boneheads regime. I know one thing, come November 2014, it's going to be a Dandy !! The anchors & their cronies on the other channel is going to push it all the way....I mean, they are going to make things so much worse than it really is, and anyone/everyone who listens to that type of stuff, they are hoping it catches on, I guess....

yeah, because the tens of thousands of other laws that already do this just aren't enough. get a clue. more bs democrat smoke and mirror laws solve nothing, just give the illusion of you caring in order to further your false war on women mantra.

right, it appears the demorcats and leftists have solved the problem of dying by passing a law outlawing it. and yes, parents will be much happier to watch their children have easier access to drugs and addiction. happiness indeed.

so when we legalize pot and people become addicted to it and do nothing but smoke pot all day and stay stoned 7×24, will they be eligible for ssi payments as they are now totally disabled? will he have millions of dopers collecting billions while we support their dope habit? we do that now for alcoholics. now taxpayers will be on the hook for the dopers as well. great country the left is leading to!

If it covered everything 100%, except maturiny coverage and drug addiction covergae, and had a zero deductible, it would still be considered a junk plan by Obamacare. It matters not if the person that has the plan is a 60 year old Mormon. The government, Obama and the Democrats know better than them what they need.

What makes you think a privately funded prison would not be obligated to follow the rulings of the Courts? I really hope this comment was tongue-in-cheek.

Logic fail. 3% of plans out there are junk. It does not require us to go out and individually look at each person's plan line by line. There are other methods for determining and estimating how many of the plans out there fall into certain categories and fail to provide certain baseline necessary benefits, making them functionally non-insurance. Setting aside all the data collected by state insurance commissions, we can also look at, among other things, the number of bankruptcies caused by such plans. Pretending this requires delving into individual minutia is silly and nothing more than a deflection.

tom I, Why don't you just go ahead and ask Data out? You follow Data around from thread to thread vying for their attention (sorry Data, not sure of your gender, so using the neutral pronoun) asking your usual inane and rhetorical questions. This is an LGBT thread and has nothing to do with the ACA website, though I know you desperately want to stay on this subject before it goes the way of the IRS scandals, Benghazi, and all the other non issues which have also lost traction.
This is a little (no, a lot) pitiful...
