Obama, possible Republican candidates to speak at same event

Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama and two Republicans who may be running to succeed him in 2016 will be speaking at the same Washington event later this month.

The President along with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Rep. Paul Ryan, the Republican chairman of the House Budget Committee, will speak at the annual meeting of the Wall Street Journal CEO Council, organizers announced.

Others speakers include Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Martin Dempsey, and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew.

The November 18-19 event brings together a mix of business and policy leaders and government officials with organizers saying 100 global chief executives also attending.

Obama will give brief remarks and then be interviewed by a Journal editor. The other participants also will be separately interviewed on stage.

    Masters of the Universe. Great.

Mr. President, is it entirely necessary that you attend this?

"Rep. Paul Ryan, the Republican chairman of the House Budget Committee, will speak at the annual meeting of the Wall Street Journal CEO Council, organizers announced."

This is CNN Breaking News... Paul Ryan has reached an impasse in the negotiations as to the order in which the speeches will be given. He is insisting that the only way he will agree to speak before the President is if President Obama agrees to cut one trillion dollars from Social Security, 850 Billion from Medicare, and he delays Obamacare until 2043. He also insists that the tax rate for the rich be lowered to -18%. Representative ryan is disappointed in the President's refusal to negotiate the terms.
Presidents Obama issued a press statement which consisted of a sigh.

The Republicans will want to turn this one into a sound bite bonanza, for sure. Let's of criticism for the President, but with no original thought or fresh ideas to be offered.

Rudy, they no longer feel its their responsibility to offer any new ideas or thoughts. Its too difficult to do that when the real focus of the GOP is to purge impure thoughts and ideas, investigate the President for using the wrong fork at a state dinner, or finding out why he even needs food at all. Who needs policy when you can whip up hatred and spread rumors of a coming dictatorship through a cunning use of health insurance? Always remember, though, even though his is cunning and ruthless, he is an incompetant community organizer who hates our country.

Have I checked all the boxes?

the only question is whether obama will continue doubling down on his massive lies to the american people or finally come clean and tell them they were conned from the start to jam obamacare down their throats. it is very clear that had the truth been told, obamacare would never have passed in congress. all of the democrats running in 2014 & 2016 know their time in office will be ending because they lied to the american people as well and didn't do their job or reading the bill before you passed it. pelosi and reid should be brought up on criminal conspiracy charges for their role.

Indeed! And don't forget: even though the GOP/Teatrolls have successfully obstructed, blocked and hampered almost everything Obama has tried to do, setting insane records for filibusters and other obstruction, not to mention manufacturing gov't shutdown and debt ceiling hostage crises to bring everything to a standstill, he's still "rammed everything down everyone's throats" and it's his policies that are causing all the trouble.

Do we really need to hear any more of Obama's lies, excuses and blaming of others. After 5 years of this it is clear the country made the biggest mistake ever electing this guy, who is obviously not up to the task.

But everybody felt like they had to make history by electing the first black man to the White House, experience and leadership ability be damned. And now the country has paid the price. 5 years of failure in every dept., economy, jobs, foreign policy and now the destruction of our healthcare system by Obamacare.

Yes, Obama hates our country! He and his cronies got together one nite in a backroom somewhere in Kenya, along with a bunch of socialist Muslims, to come up with a plan to make healthcare so unaffordable for the uninsured and in turn, destroy America. The black helicopters are ready to swoop in and take over. Seriously, you need to stop listening to your leader, Rush, who truly is a big fat idiot!

After he destroys America, he will go back to Kenya and take his many million supporters, family and friends too!

    @ Donna,

So, its white voter guilt that led to Obala winning, not the ineopt handling of the economy by the Bushh Adminsitration and the 6 years of his rubber-stamp Congress? Oh, that's right, the whole thing unraveled in 2 years because of Pelosi and Reid, not because the GOP selected a man who was next in line and admitted he knew nothing about economics. I guess its all white voter guilt and feeling we " had to make history by electing the first black man to the White House" instead of going for an old man who knew nothing about economics and his ignorant harpie of a running mate during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. I'm amazed I never picked up on that. Thank you, oh thank you Donna, for pointing out the error of our ways!!

Thank goodness his mother was a genius and had the wherewithall to know that her beautiful little baby would grow up some day and become president, not once, but twice......She had no choice but to forge his birth certificate and convince all of the state officials and newspapers to lie about his birthplace.........
