Lesson from Lincoln: Mr. President, you're talking too much

Washington (CNN) - It is a lesson from the ages: Lawmakers like to talk.

Even in this advanced age when thoughtlets, capped at 140 characters, are tweeted as discourse, politicians still tend to prattle on.

GOP idiocy found no bounds, in these technology advances these GOP thugs are talking to statues. Maniquins etc. It proves they are going crazy as Al Quesa. Pathetic GOP idiots. Very pathetic.

The president needs to be open to the masses, but while doing so be substantive. Be a person that when speaking, make the words and deeds factual, with meaning for those listening. Make whatever is said something the people can depend on. And before any of you (so called), right wingers get the idea you've got the market cornered on substance, think real hard using logic not emotion. Your party of choice is guilty as sin of misleading information and fuzzy logic. Otherwise we'd have found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Wall Street, would be thought of a way to invest, not lose retirements and 401k savings. Maybe the housing bubble would have been less of a problem if sub prime mortgages were not bundled and sold as good investments through banks. Your party needs a good house cleaning too.

"instant analysis on TV keeps people from really digesting what was said."

In other words, it's not Obama that needs to talk less, it's the MSM's pundit bobbleheads. Kudos on entirely missing the point with your headline.

That's right. Make sure even the most complex issue is discussed in 30 second sound bites while on TV or radio and anything written fits neatly onto a bumper sticker. Once we accomplish that, the dumbing down of America will be complete.
