(CNN) - He used to be a big supporter of the Affordable Care Act, but Mike Tyson now says Obamacare's suffered a knockout.
"It just really went horrible," the former heavyweight boxing champion of the world told CNN's Piers Morgan in an interview that aired Wednesday evening on "Piers Morgan Live."
"It's really, it's really bad," Tyson added.
The comments appear to be a change of opinion for Tyson, who in an 2012 interview with Morgan applauded President Barack Obama's efforts on health care, adding that the President and Vice President Joe Biden "give the people in that desperational need, that hope."
The start up of Obamacare over the past two months has been extremely flawed, with major problems plaguing HealthCare.gov, the system's main website for people to sign up for coverage, and with a controversy over insurance policy cancellations due primarily to the new national health law.
Tyson says he still believes in giving health care coverage to the millions of Americans currently without insurance, but added that "as of now it doesn't seem they can get it. I was for it a 100 percent but we just have to come to the reality that it didn't work."

All I'm curious about is...why is Piers Morgan asking for an opinion from Tyson about something he pretty much has no knowledge about??
Sounds like someone cancelled on Piers at the last minute and all he could come up with to fill the chair was Tyson.
There is so much hate is this country. This is the worst time I've seen in my 50+ years. Politics will rot your soul. If you have one.
The website errors and the unforeseen insurance company exodus from private insurance and risk is done. Signing up and getting insurance is next. Family Thanksgiving poll... 1) Right wing brother-in-law that has hated Obama from day one and only watches Fox screamed that he got his insurance cancelled... would have nothing to do with trying healthcare.gov because it's not the right wing thing to do and the Missouri AG advised not to use it... but hates the high premiums he was offered for new private insurance... 2) One of his kids has been on the site, has applied, is looking at signing up in December, will probably get a subsidy because her internship just ended and she's having trouble finding a good job... and is trying to convince her father to go on the website, 3) His other kid has no job, has a huge unending drug problem, sleeps in a beat up SUV parked in front of his father's house, but we encouraged him to look at healthcare.gov and try to get professional help he couldn't get before... against his father's wishes, 4) My daughter and husband will be going online in December because it looks like his new job won't provide insurance because he's considered "temp" and her new "ABA" therapist job starts in January and will take 3 to 6 months to get insurance... they need family insurance (have a 5 year old) and will likely get a temporary subsidy, and 5) the rest of us have existing corporate insurance that went up less than normal this year even with ACA adjustments... but were screamed at with a stern warning from the brother-in-law that we will all lose our insurance and that ACA will take this country down... We asked how that could be since we all got letters that our insurance was upgraded to meet ACA standards, but that didn't settle it... quite the Thanksgiving.
Kind of funny that Mike Tyson can figure it out, yet so many Democrats can't.
