After website woes, President pushes benefits of Obamacare

Washington (CNN) – Stop worrying about the website and start talking about Obamacare's benefits.

That was President Barack Obama's message to the nation on Tuesday as he kicked off a three-week public relations blitz intended to generate more participation in his signature health care reforms.

    B. I ain't answering your stupid rhetorical questions which just lead to another round of stupid rhetorical questions, which lead to you whining and crying about how mean and angry I am and how much of a poor victim you are.
    C. We aren't talking about 2002 to 2007 which is exactly what happened with Reagan when he cut the wealthiest Americans taxes in this 'trickle down' BS (which daddy bush called 'voodoo economics' because it didn't work then and it doesn't work now)... a small but perceptible and almost immediate increase in revenue, followed by the bottom dropping out (which you republicants- and don't give me that "I'm a libertarian' nonsense, then can blame on the Dems because you haven't ever caused a problem you didn't later blame on someone else).
    D. Read up on Keynesian economics which kept this country great for some 200 some odd years before your party (and it IS you party, so don't start running backwards from it like you always do) decided it was better to go back to the much preferred serfs and Nobles (minus the Noblesse oblige, mind you) Feudal system.
Once you can make some sense, stop twisting facts, and stop your tried and true method of playing the victim and crying to mommy, maybe we'll talk.

Oh look! Yet another Obama-Obamacare PR campaign. What is this? The 10th one to date? Probably more if you count all the other people out there selling this snake oil. And how many more millions is this going to cost us? You know, the lipstick for this Obamacare PIG is getting very, very expensive. And you know what? It still looks like a PIG.
    ----------------------
Oh look! Vice-President Biden has gone on a trip to Eastern Asia and no one on the right is complaining about the cost to taxpayers. Amazing, isn't it? They're cured of that particular infatuation.

    "Nice try, but we gotcha."

The Obamacare Smoke and Mirror Show just never ends...

    FACTS:
53 percent of those polled said Obama is not honest or trustworthy (CNN/ORC)
40 percent said Obama can manage the government effectively
56 percent said they did not admire Obama, disagreed with him on important issues, said he does not inspire confidence
53 percent said they do not see him as a strong and decisive leader

The American people have already decided that his lies about Obamacare were truly lies and they were deceived.
    ----------------------
FACT: 93 percent do not like the Congress, most especially the House.

The web site has cost 600 million so far. Only people that can't afford to pay for insurance are signing up. The feds could have simply given all of us a two million dollar health savings account. It would have been quicker and cheaper.

Indeed. To be fair though, he based his theories in part on what had historically worked (and not worked). He didn't just opine out of the blue based on ideological musings about how things ought to work.

There are 300,000,000+ people in the United States. What you meant was that the feds could have given us all a $2.00 health savings account. TWO DOLLARS. Have fun paying for your son's car crash injuries or your wife's ovarian cancer with that.

OMG. Nice try. Wow! I'm so impressed that when Obama took office he decided to contribute a "higher percentage" (as if that's not a tap dance away to fit your cute little argument) that he is somehow more philanthropic than the great Mittens. So one guy gives a higher percentage than another guy and that's supposed to sway me away from the FACT that liberals donate far LESS money than conservatives do to charity? Are you joking? So, again, it's the mindset. The govt is here for us; I don't need to donate. So sad. Now, how about answering to my point that is very true and very factual, conservatives donate far more than liberals. Quick!! Go to google! Look it up and you'll see.

Funny you should say that... because if the lies Obama had told the public were known last November, he'd be back in Chicago and President Romney would be dealing with stopping and repealing thie Obamacare disaster.

Oh, and taxing someone more so someone else gets something is not the definition of a patriot. And I am in no position to label someone a patriot or not. I don't care.
    ___________________________
Your are so right. I have never met a patriot who would hurt fellow Americans, or say "I don't care".

    =====

Assigning the term "patriot" has no meaning any longer. Sean Hannity ruined it and then the left took it and ran. It is a meaningless term. I do care about my fellow American; I don't care how you determine who is a patriot or not. It's meaningless.

Now, would you care to address the rest of my comment? Why are you so hyped up on making someone buy insurance yet you have no concerns about people on unemployment, welfare or food stamps? You did say that you were happy that I could finally pay my way. Does that "pay my way" only count for insurance?
    ______________________
I guess the CNN censor bounced- it probably was too uncivil. Your argument is ridiculous. Our nation does not advance as long as we have decided there are economic winners and losers. The GOP wrote off 47% of Americans as "losers" and gave the 1% obscene and useless tax cuts. The real outrage is that our retirees (our parents), veterans, the sick and injured all fall into the 47%. That says volumes about Republican "values".

"FACT – almost half of the House members are Democrats. The dislike spreads out evenly."

No, it truly truly doesn't "spread out evenly." Approval/favorability ratings of congress by party:

    Dem – 43%
    GOP – 32%
    Teatroll – 31%

It's all a pretty silly argument though really. The GOP/Teatrolls have somewhat of a lock on the House due to their gerrymandering and it would take a huge differential nationwide to overcome it...something like 7%-9% overall. They kept the House in 2012 even though they received 1,300,000+ less votes for their House candidates. We're stuck with their complete and utter contempt for our democracy and elections results for the next half a decade or more, and we can all rest assured that we'll be enjoying another 4 years of inconsolable temper tantrum partisan nonsense if Clinton wins in 2016.

Wonderful. Maybe we can pay you 3rd. grade salary. What, you won't work for that. Obama promised you you would get a first rate salary. What, you believe Obama? Well, good luck with that. Don't hold your breath.

  20. just asking

so will obama be telling everybody about all the hospitals, doctors and specialists their policies will not be allowing them to go to? no, i'm sure somehow this truth will not make the pr campaign.

google this article on the cnn site..... "Obamacare: Fewer options for many"

    a little sample....

That narrower network comes as particularly bad news for the residents of Concord, New Hampshire.

Concord's one hospital won't accept any policies offered by the marketplaces. To see a doctor, specialist or primary care provider affiliated with the hospital, patients on these Obamacare plans will have to pay out of their own pocket. The closest in-network hospital is in Manchester.

"Can you imagine having to go 25 miles away to Manchester to get access to a health care provider that is covered by your insurance?" Harte asked. "Right now, Concord is one big black hole of health care for people buying these plans."

"So one guy gives a higher percentage than another guy and that's supposed to sway me away from the FACT that liberals donate far LESS money than conservatives do to charity?"

You haven't provided any cogent argument as to why that has anything to do with anything. Everyone knows the demographic makeup of the Dem and GOP bases and that the Dems tend to garner a lot of their support from those living in the poverty generated and maintained by the GOP's plutocratic economic ideology. Clearly, that demographic difference heavily influences the math of who is donating what, because it is determinative of who has anything to donate in the first place. All you do by repeating your garbledigook high-horse nonsense is highlight that you're entirely insensitive to the plight of those living in poverty AND that, just like a good little conservative, you inherently confuse a person's level of wealth with their level of virtue and worthiness as a human being.

I love it. Driving 25 miles to a different hospital gets your little panties in a wad, and yet you're the first person to claim that it's no big deal that women in TX who wish to obtain women's clinical services, such as breast and cervical exams, ob-gyn services or yes, exercise their constitutional right to choose to have an abortion, are being forced to drive hundreds of miles in TX because the GOP/Teatrolls in TX passed laws deliberately designed to close all but 5 women's health clinics in the state. Moreover, you're the first person to claim that it's no big deal that the GOP/Teatrolls' voter suppression ID laws are forcing inner city folks to go all over the place to jump through hoops to obtain "approved" IDs that require them to show birth certificates and obtain proof of citizenship and other crap, despite them all already having IDs that are considered more than sufficient for obtaining federal assistance or identifying themselves at a state university. tom I is just a young republicant who is so ashamed of his party that he keeps his handy 'Libertarian' escape pod available to jettison off in when things get too hot or when the republicants do something insane, which is daily and why he uses it so often. If he were a true 'Libertarian', he would agree with the Dems sometimes, but he always carries water for the right.... so that is where his true self lies (no pun intended... or maybe).
As for a disclaimer.... perhaps 'Fragile- Handle with Care', as he has a moderate ability to dish it out, but he cannot take it and inevitably we end up with a long rambling post about how mean and angry we all are (except Data, from whom he seeks some type of validation from- for whatever reason) and what a poor, poor victim he is....

I hate to even post about it, because it may hasten the invetible pity party....
