Sen. Ted Cruz gets a coloring book

(CNN) – For about five bucks, kids can now color while learning about Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

The St. Louis-based Really Big Coloring Books, Inc. published "Ted Cruz to the Future," an "educational" activity and comic book for kids featuring the freshman Senator from Texas and tea party favorite.

One page features Cruz's family, including wife Heidi and daughters Caroline and Catherine, while another shows Cruz in hunting gear, holding a gun, to exemplify Second Amendment rights. And another summarizes the Senator's "21-hour Epic Speech" in September, when he held the U.S. Senate floor in a marathon speech seeking to stall plans to fund the government.

The company describes the coloring book as a "non-partisan, fact-driven view" of Cruz's life.

"RBCB created this comic coloring and activity book not as an endorsement of Sen. Ted Cruz but rather as an educational tool to be used in schools and perhaps as a handout for groups, clubs and organizations," the company says in a press release about the book, which notes that Cruz's contact information is available at the end of the book.

"Cruz's beliefs and actions stir much emotion in those following the political realm, he is a modern 'superhero' to many and looked upon in adoration and abomination by some."

RBCB founder Wayne Bell said in video posted to YouTube: "We've talked to a lot of parents around the country and they really enjoy seeing modern-day people in children's' literature."

The company has made a number of coloring books featuring major public figures including President Barack Obama after his victory in 2008 and Nelson Mandela. The company also has made books on each political party, as well as the tea party.

Seriously. Reread these two sentences together. Did anyone else immediately bring images to mind of gun-totting terrorists in other countries bragging of hostage taking?

Wow. That Koch Brothers money that he took with both hands to shut down the people's government wasn't enough. The Guns Over People tea potty will do ANYTHING for money.

To elevate Ted Cruz to the level of the former President of South Africa, or the current POTUS, is degrading for the Presidents.

    Aww, isn't that special.
And I am sure that the right-wing nutjobs that kept their children out of school the day that President Obama wanted to address school-aged children via a speech because they swore that he wanted to indoctrinate their children, have no problem with this.
To the future indeed with Turd Cruz and let's start with a $24 billion government shutdown so our kids can get a good look at what type of future Cruz and The Gang envisions for our little ones.
    Special indeed...

And the GOPers/Teatrolls complain that it's liberals who want to "indoctrinate the children"? Difference: this is blatant partisan propaganda, whereas academia deals in universally accepted fact (well, universally other than the Teatrolls, but they reside in another universe in their tinfoil hatted heads anyway).

This is by far the best and most effective outreach program that GOPeeing Teatards have come up with.
Start with the voters of tomorrow so that they can grow up to be good little Tetards.

    You don't say?
To what age group is this militia propaganda being distributed?
And parents actually are actually okay with this?
I guess the GOPeeing Teatards are recruiting them while they are barely out of diapers.
    Indoctrination.
This is what it looks lke.

(sarcasm alert) Yes but this is god-fearing right-wing conservative indoctrination so it is OK.

Buyers of this sick kids book will be whining of progressive indoctrination next week! Also I wonder if there will be any ownership the next time a poor kid grabs a gun to look like super-hero Cruz and accidentally shoots another poor kid. that is the real cost of cowboy gun ownership.

Based upon the low standard of accomplishments they are using to justify a Ted Cruz coloring book, why not put in the Kardashians? Bruce Jenner was an Olympic Gold medalist and world record holder, so he more than meet the criteria.

Cruz should demand that the book be removed from the market!
The book maker is trying to tie Cruz to obomber and Mandela to lower his poll numbers.
The left will try anything to drag a threat (Cruz) through the mud!

Are these books purchased by school districts and then distributed to the children as part of age appropriate curriculum or are these books part of school programs endorsing reading (and coloring) material for children? Or are school districts not involved with purchasing these books at any academic or teaching level?

Guns, Guns, Guns the American way. 31, 000 Americans killed or injured per year in the US due to gun violence. Parents buy that coloring book for your 3 to 5 year old. Remember Sandy Hook. This is unreal.

No just the usual load of disclaimers and claptrap, followed by allegations that if the other kid had had access to a gun he would've at least had a chance to defend himself.
    (Sarcasm...of sorts).
You can't make these people up.
Did somebody say this was being distributed to 3-5 year olds?
    They are building a militia.

Bruce Jenner and or the Kardashians do not represent nor endorse the future of the Tea Party, as you very well know Tom.
All the Teatard's eggs are being put in the Turd Cruz basket.
It appears that the Koch brothers are hellbent making good on their investment by assuring him of the youth vote in 2028 or barring that 2032.
They do not intend to lose the many, many millions they flushed down the toilet backing Mittens in 2012.
I wonder how Rubio is feeling having been kicked to the proverbial curb?

Holding a gun in a coloring book and wants it to be used as an educational tool in school. Good grief what brain dead person thought or did not think about this before it was released to the public.
