Cruz finds himself on 'Jeopardy!'

(CNN) – Republican Sen. Ted Cruz found it "pretty cool" that his name appeared on "Jeopardy!" on Wednesday.

In the episode, one of the answers was: "In September 2013 this Texas Senator held the floor for 21 hours in an effort to derail Obamacare."

The contestant replied correctly: "Who is Cruz?"

The freshman senator and possible 2016 Republican White House hopeful helped lead a GOP strategy to try to defund the Affordable Care Act by tying it to must-pass spending legislation. In a symbolic move, Cruz stood on the Senate floor for hours to make his case to dismantle the president's signature domestic achievement.

Senate Democrats, however, refused to make changes to the health care law and partisan disagreements over the issue ultimately led to the 16-day partial federal government shutdown.

Why is it that conservatives just seem to love the poltician who can be best play the part. And they seem to love them the most when it is obvious that said politician is simply acting out a role, projecting a false persona. Ted Cruz falls into this latter category.

Crua is an actor playing a character. But, it is that character that conservatives are so in love iwth, not neccessarily the politician. They love the fictional persona. Cruz can portray it, and so could Palin. Romney wasn't good at it, and neither is Rudio. But Cruz is a master at it.

Hey CNN- as you seem to have developed a real love for iffy news (Obama Selfie, etc.), maybe everytine you show a picture of Cruz, or mention him in a story, you could coyly work $24 billion into the story. You know, like how the stories you pander to the GOP with about the ACA web site, or the "Bengahzi Conspiracy"? Make it "fair and balanced".

From the budget deal the greed over people party got about 23 billion in cuts and the dems/spineless party went along with that. Couldn't they demand that the rehooligans/terrorist return the 24 billion they/ cruz cost us during the shutdown, and that manuever will offset any cuts they want, the gop is a bunch of useless morons. ted curse is a joke.

What I don't know my friend, is why Turd Cruz thinks it is "pretty cool" to be forever known as the guy who " tried to derail Obamacare" and the expensively irresponsibe measures he wastefully, and callously implemented to try and achieve his goal.
You'd think that the new braintrust representative of the Teatards would realize that 3, definitely 7 years down the line when he's attempting his second run at the White House, that little "cool" fact would come back to bite his Cuban-Canadian-but-definitely-not-American nargas.

Ted Cruz fought hard to save the American people from the disastrous Obamacare. But the far left Deomcrat party refuses toi stop punishing the Americna people and continues to jam this nightmare down our throats. Everything Ted Cruz warne dabout has come to pass and there are many more Obamacre disasters yet to come in 2014. Obama cannot delay them forever.

Ted Cruz is an American hero. Keep up the good work Senator! Help is on the way in 2015.

"In September 2013 this Texas Senator held the floor for 21 hours in an effort to derail Obamacare."

How would Ted Cruz be the correct answer to this question? It was NOT an effort to derail the ACA, it even says later in the article the move was 'symbolic'. cruz's 'filibuster' had no chance to 'derail Obamacare' and this was known by him and all the members of the Senate at the get-go.
The better answer would have been, 'This inept, cuban te abagg er's grandstanding led to the shutdown of the United States government and cost the American taxpayers a conservatively estimated 24 Billion dollars."
    Who is ted cruz?

it gets me nervous when i hear dems scream for change, because this country with its monarchs, who has been running our country for centuries will not stand for that. they owns all the propaganda outlest, and with a black man as president, those propaganda outlets improve 2 fowls. everything the repubs jump on always push the dems off the cliff, and all they have to say is that the mainstream media is for liberals, even though these same powerful repubs owns the so called lames stream media. yet people still doesn't see gubbleness of the amerian people who seems to run to the loudest and the most powerful in our country, which are the repubs and the corporations that are shipping their jobs to china. now they are set to drag the dems once again, and put in another bunch of obstructionist repubs back into office. when, ohh when, will these people learn their lessons. i hope the next democratic president nominee doesnt promise nothing good for the people of this country, because folks like cruise will sit on the side lines and throw stones, with his corporate lackeys. and say hell with the American people, even though some of them deserve what the repubs have in store for them in a global market.
