Taking personal responsibility for healthcare is bad. Is that the best the Teabagers can do. When will people grow up and stop being bigoted in there aproach to our president.

Republicans need to do absolutely nothing....the law is that bad, and a *win* for nobody. Just let the disaster play out in front of everyone's eyes, and in everyone's wallets. Theft is theft. I believe someone called it *generational theft.* If you don't understand that yet, give it about 11 more months. This is one the republicans didn't lie about, and everyone is trying to fix this catastrophe behind the scenes..and I mean EVERYONE.

The insurance companies did not keep the grandfathered policies. It's their fault. Just to screw President Obama up. Much like all the Republican governors who would not expand Medicaid.

With how many lies Obama's's told it's no surprise that eventually one would win this award. Democrats look at it as a good thing of course.

The Republicans are banking on the Democrats are bad vote for us. Just because someone may not approve of someone else does not mean they will approve of you either. In fact, they may disapprove of you more. The Republicans are going to double down on ACA. They may draw a ten with their 11 to get 21 or they may get a 4 and the dealer ends up with 17 and beats them. It's really their only chance though since they have nothing of their own to run on except the promise of jobs through tax cuts which has proven not to work.

Rationalize it all you want, Our president lied to us over and over again, he was told the insurance plans would be cancelled and he continued to lie to us. Maybe that is acceptable to you because you voted for Pres. Obama, but it shouldn't be. If you can't hold the person you voted for to the same standards as a President you didn't vote for, that makes you a hypocrite.

First of all , nobody has died or been blown up over the Affordable Healthcare Act.

The GOP sure din't make any waves about going to war looking for WMD's that didn't exist .

When you go to the hospital your going to see a specialist, you rarely see your own doctor anyway .

The do nothing republicans would rather sell out to corporations then help citizens .

unless , corporations are people too ?

Lets be real honest with ourselves here.

    Whats worse?
Lying about whether a person can keep their doctor? (but Health Care still remain affordable)
    or
Shutting down the government? (wasting 24 billion dollars)

I am deeply disappointed in our president. I expected more from him. The GOP didn't win, America lost. The people lost because we have a dishonest leader who is not transparent with Americans. I feel for all of those he hurt.

GOP has no chance, with the tea party and the amount of blunders they have cost the country, the obamacare mishap is small in comparison compared to the 16 trillion spent on the Iraq and Afghanistan occupation, the 26 billion loss due to idiotic Ted Cruz shutdown, the millions spent on the 43 repeals for obamacare, the 900,000 jobs lost during the shutdown, oh and dont forget the constant bigotry towards minorities, gays & lesbians, women and other religions.

GOP has no chance ;) thats a fact!!! ;)

    DEMOCRATS 2014 & 2016!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!

Distinguish between the institution and the man. Obama has been a decent President although implementation of ACA was his major screw-up.

What lie of the year? Keeping your insurance, even though it sucks, stop playing :( The lie of the year was we did not shut down the government, the democrats and Obama did. And then there is the media's constant lies. They are like little foxes in the vineyard, causing havoc just to get ratings. :(

Oh please, I wouldn't even call it a lie but shutting down the government seems to loom bigger and badder in our history. At least our President is trying to make health care affordable to all. The teaklan only want you to die.
@hector, the liberals haven't promised the moon but the teaklans promised to shutdown the government and they did and I see that regardless of how bipartisan any bill is the rich still get richer and the middle class and poor are the ones to take up the slack.

The media is actually getting out of control and is distorting so many stories that it is no wonder that Americans are confused. President Obama did not deliberately lie and everyone with half a brain knows that. I just turn the channel when I hear silly stories like this starting because I don't want to waste my time. Why didn't the American media cover more of the President 's amazing speech at Pres. Mandela's celebration properly instead of hijacking it with the selfie and Castro pictures? The speech actually had overtones that many Americans should hear about reconciliation, forgiveness and individual freedoms but that isn't controversial enough I guess. At least the CBC and BBC covered it positively and properly..

There are more issues besides the healthcare lie that will cause the liberals to fail in the next election. The President has said that he is a Christian. Supporting gay issues along with his poor treatment of Israel tells me he is not really a Christian. He seems to be a Marxist. I am furious about this commie Obamacare Affordable Obomination! It has caused the healthcare companies along with the company I work for to raise the amount we pay for the insurance, we have higher deduct. for hospital care and they are pushing the no smoking for employees this year and no smoking for the spouses next year or there will be higher costs out of my check at the office. The healthcare companies are supposed to be working for us. The companies we work for have taken over as well as the liberal medical groups and the politically correct state governments. Too much government control. Regarding Obamacare- government should not be controlling the healthcare industry!

The people who are being negative toward Republicans are blind. They can't see their very freedom is at risk via the dems. They want to create such big government that we have less and less freedom. Government should not be in charge of our national healthcare. People becoming so politically correct that through state government they have voted it illegal to smoke in public bars and restaurants. The owners of those business sites should have the say- not the state. Who would dream we could not go in a bar, have a beer and smoke? This needs to be reversed. It was fair when the owners had half the bar/restaurant smoke free and the other side for smokers. Again, we need state legislators put this up for a vote again. I am concerned about the computer hardware used for vote counting and especially in Chicago where they have had a history of corruption in vote fixing. I don't think Obama would have won this second term if this was on the up and up.

Let's not forget who the inaugural "Lie of the Year" winner was. Sarah Palin and her death panels. She had repeatedly told so many different lies that they had to give her award for being so convincing.

It's nice that in the Lie of the Year story, the writer managed to identify Obama. It seems she was very busy researching details of every other conservative politicians speech archives for "lies" she could post.

I wonder why she missed Bill O'Reilly's comment about Mandela Nelson being a great man?
