Christie on Obamacare ad: Get out of your PJs

(CNN) - Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has a dueling holiday message with the White House - forget Obamacare, go volunteer.

President Barack Obama's Twitter account tweeted earlier this week a picture of a man wearing plaid pajamas, encouraging people #GetTalking about insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act over the holidays.

"How do you plan to spend the cold days of December?" the tweet reads with the image, directing internet-users to barackobama.com/talk.

The internet, particularly conservatives, had a field day with the image and now Christie's office is picking up on the joke.

"In New Jersey, we are spending the cold days of December volunteering," the tweet reads, mimicking the design of the @BarackObama tweet but with a picture of the Garden State governor in an apron serving food.

When was the first time you have seen a President serve people at shelters and food shelters? Answer we saw a Presidential elect and his family doing what they have done for years serving the needy in 2008. Many complained that it was so wrong for a President to do this. Well let's see for 5 years Obama Family has continued to serve shelters on the holidays. But the surprise is seeing Paul Ryan and his family taking photo ops doing dishes when the shelter was closed and not getting permission to be in the empty building. Now Christi who is being investigated for crimes is using the Obama style for photo ops and just don't ask him about the George Washington Bridge. For so many Republican/Tea Party and Conservatives who openly hate Obama they seem to copy a lot of what he does. Christi was like a girl meeting Brad Pitt when Christi met President Obama.

It must be hard for governor Christie to serve food. I bet their inventories come up short at the end of the day. Judging by his girth he should be the first one in line for Obama care. Let's see how he does with donuts and coffee.

Before the election I thought Obama is very much with the ordinary citizen , but now I feel like he is really living in a different world , he don't even have a clue about the word STRUGGLE.

I don't care if this is a photo op or not - the spirit is right. It's the season to volunteer and help others to make a real difference in the world.

He will never be President, he will never be Vice President, he's at the top of his game and is lucky to have gotten this far. He's a fraud and a bully for the most part, and thats how he will be remembered. Fat Jersey Bully.

Any clean pots and pans the "all of the sudden" more in your face governor of NJ can clean for the camera.
He's probably volunteering because he likes to be near food.
Not all of his constituents in NJ like him. This guy has got too many skeletons in the closet.

I can't see people talking about health care around the xmas tree, the dinner table or for that matter wearing PJs to bed and talking in your sleep about it. Volunteering for anything is awesome! Everyone needs to understand that you don't have to buy into the healthcare.gov site because everyone who already has insurance is getting better now because of the law. This needs to be peace of mind for people at the holidays and ongoing and for the ones who don't have insurance if they do sign up through the exchange this may be beneficial to them because if they are at a lower income the subsidies would give them financial assistance. These people need to check into it.

Standard responses of liberals, lets sit and talk of nothing instead of doing something that is actually beneficial to those in need. With all the wasted funds spent on Obamacare, we could have probably opened several high end clinics and maintained them for several years to come with the current price tag at $2.7 trillion.

The biggest problem liberals have with Christie is that he speaks the blunt truth. Unfortunately, truth hurts and reality is hard. Obama had fed them so many lies that they expect it to be an easy road for them as long as they follow blindly. Just wait till those co-pay bills start coming in. Then you will get your wake up call.
