Obama says 2013 wasn't worst of presidency

Updated 2:50 p.m. ET, 12/20/2013

Washington (CNN) - Citing economic progress and other achievements, President Barack Obama on Friday rejected the contention that 2013 was the worst year of his presidency.

Polls show Obama's approval rating at record lows for the five years of his presidency, but he told reporters at a year-end news conference that his concern is whether things are getting better for the American people.

Be safe President Obama. 300 million people are counting on you. (That number does not include the 20 million baggers, bigots and Birthers who are praying for the destruction of America)

The poll numbers for support of elected republicans is mind boggling. Who would have thought that 9 per cent is a majority of Americans? Only the brain dead can brag about complete rejection of their Republican Party.

If you exclude the Fox viewers and haters, you end up at 300 million.

He REALLY needs to give America a straight Answer to the question,"What is the Meaning of our Human Life on this planet"? No nuance either.

Until someone polls every single person in the United States we won't know the story. Polling results are whatever the entity commissioning a poll wants them to be. Phone pollsters call those with whom they've already made contact, and they make notes of the responses they get. For future polling, they go back and call those whose answers they project will result in the numbers they're looking for.

For online polls, participants are ususally asked to watch a movie trailer or a short informational video about a specific product, and answer questions afterwards. The questions start out being about the subject matter and your opinion of the movie or video, then diverge into questions of a political nature, the first one being which party you belong to, followed by a question about how strong your political leanings are. However, one wrong answer (you're a member of the 'wrong' party, or you consider yourself a moderate/far left/far right) and the survey is over, thanks for participating! The questions asked also tend to be very narrow and with the only answers being yes or no. The ones that allow you to choose or "I strongly agree", "I agree somewhat", "I agree", "I disagree" "I disagree somewhat" and "I strongly disagree" are really tricky as they lump all "agree" & "disagree" catagories together.

Full disclosure: The above statements are fact, whether I like the results or not.

The media will try to strangle the President in order to show that they are working. The media we have nowadays is totally hopeless. I can point out with all News Network it is only Chris Wallace who tries to work as required though sometimes he pulls back. The rest are ha,ha,ha! How can a very functioning media let the Congress Approval Rating slip to less than 10% and no one bothers to ask them why it has happened so and make them accountable. These are people who were elected in 2010 to create jobs and up to now nothing has been done. The media reported it in 2010, why didn't they make any follow up? Can I say media is in name only?

    Mr President,
If you can, tell me why all you Liberal's think the populous isn't intelligent to take care of themselves and so need the Nanny State? And tell me, Mr. President, if you can, how does many, many regular people get up, go to work, every day, and do all the things that make the country work, without government instructions? Why is it, Mr. President you don't trust the people to make their own decisions, everyday. Was Bill Clinton right when he said, We could give the people more of "their" own money, but they wouldn't know how to spend it. Can you answer those questions, Mr. President?

Yes, by all means please go on vacation and whatever you do, don't worry about the millions of Americans that you have lied to and deceived and many of which have now had their healthcare insurance cancelled. Also don't worry that they may not have any coverage starting on Jan. 1. Yes, don't worry one bit, you got yours and as we have all seen, this is ALL about you.

Well, when conservatives explain why they hate people who get up, go to work at multiple jobs while trying to raise a family, play be all the rules, and still get wiped out because a hedge fund manager decides that it would be fun to buy their employer and fire everyone? Apparently, conservatives don't trust people either, because they are so intent on having a morality squad checking on your sex life, deciding what oaths you have to utter to fulfill their sick sense of what is right and wrong, and re-write history to suit themselves, eh Ray E Georgia? When you stopp deciding you hate half of the people in this country based upon what you think they are, rather than what you are, maybe you can ask those questions.
