Obama says 2013 wasn't worst of presidency

Updated 2:50 p.m. ET, 12/20/2013

Washington (CNN) - Citing economic progress and other achievements, President Barack Obama on Friday rejected the contention that 2013 was the worst year of his presidency.

Polls show Obama's approval rating at record lows for the five years of his presidency, but he told reporters at a year-end news conference that his concern is whether things are getting better for the American people.

Smith: sayin, so right, if we would of just had the courage to continue on the course the last Republican administration plotted things would be much different, losing a half million jobs a month: that was something we gave up on too early, some people still have a job, you guys kill me,, sssooooo far in denial about where things were going, am I to believe that we should of kept the course we had, banks failing daily, and who started that mess, certainly not a Republica, when is the last time a Republican admitted doing anything wrong or damaging to our nation, your pathetic at best, sad sob

Its truly sad that people can't pause and reflect on anything good that has happened in the last year because they are so wedded to their ideology. The question I would ask them is, what do you believe in, instead of what are you against? Its easy to oppose things, its harder to be in favor of something. Our conservative friends have had their negatives on display for 5 years: what you are you in favor of? Anything?

what has he done that warrnats his removal from office? And what crimes have the other committed

How about lying to the entire country REPEATEDLY and perpetrating the biggest FRAUD on the American people that we have ever seen in the history of this country? If a private company had done this, people would be going to jail.

he's owned up to the fact that he was wrong, unlike a lot of previous presidents on both sides of the aisle. Its a pity you're too filled with hate to notice.

Apologizing for criminal behavior doesn't absolve the criminal from being held accountable for their crimes. He should be removed from office. If he had an ounce of honor and decency and truly cared for this country, he would resign and spare us all three more years of this Obama nightmare.

He has lost the trust and confidence of the American people. We are sick and tired of his lies and we can't afford 3 more years of them.

And will CNN update the Ticker with an article when the ACA website goes back up (it already did) or report on what a short time it was down for maintenance? NOPE. The all important nontroversy narrative must not be undermined and, what's more, whatever can be done must be done to actively contribute to the perpetuation of any problems, such as putting up articles that might deter people from trying to go to the website and hen never updating anyone on the issue if/when it gets fixed so they can go on thinking the problem still exists.

" perpetrating the biggest FRAUD on the American people that we have ever seen in the history of this country?"

Obama ended the Iraq War, he didn't start it, and he certainly wasn't the one who lied about WMDs in Iraq. Moreover, he's never told anyone to believe in trickle-down fairy tale economic daydreams.

You don't speak for everyone in the country. It's a real mark of the Teatrolls' cray cray that they so fervently believe that everyone agrees with them when it is consistently shown in polls that they only get about 15%-20% of people to nod their heads along with their nonsense.

    Malory,
Unlike many others who think this president (and the other you referred to) is a disaster for our country I don't begrudge him and his family a relaxing vacation. It is as petty to criticize his vacation as it was to criticize Mr Bush's.
    ------------------
You cannot be serious. During his eight years, Bush racked up 180 weeks of vacation time. That's 3 1/2 years worth of time. He was always down in Crawford, Texas. He used to call his visists to Crawford "working vacations."

Getting elected by totally legal means twice does not constitute high crimes and misdemenanors: it constitutes your frustration at backing the losing horse twice. Get over it, and get over yourself and your blind hatred. If you have nothing positive or of value to contriubute to the discussion, then keep quiet. If you have real suggestions about reforming the ACA, other than the mantra of " repeal and replace", lets hear them. Otherwise, grow a pair and suck it up.

Except he's not. It's the GOP and Teatrolls who poll lower.

52% of the American people do not think Obama is honest or trustworthy. Obama wins Liar of the Year. The Obamacare roll out is redefining the term train wreck to greater more disastrous heights. Millions of Americans are having their healthcare insurance cancelled thanks to Obamacare and Obama's lies. And he thinks he had a worse year? Exactly which one was that?

LOL. So, basically, CNN revealed something today: they appear to have some dillhole in their offices...probably an overpaid intern who is some executive's little brat...sitting around watching for the ACA website to go down. Site goes down...even for a very brief time...BOOM...instantly reported.

Obama confirms at his press conference today that 500,000+ people have enrolled on the federal exchange website during the first 3 weeks of December: MSM silence.
