More than 1.1 million Obamacare enrollees

(CNN) - More than 1.1 million people enrolled in health care coverage through the federal marketplace between October 1 and December 24, the government announced Sunday.

The vast majority of them - 975,000 - enrolled in December, Marilyn Tavenner, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said in a blog post.

That's about 1/30 of the number that was needed. Big deal!

Nothing wrong with it. Just GOP thugs bickering. To my understanding this bickering lasts as long as this president stays in WH. I think we need to change White House to Presidential House. Yes, ACA is a Law. USA direly needs it. I bet insurance bribe to GOP is causing this cry. God bless!!! Happy new year–law kicks-in. Go forward.

Not really a big deal. People need health care. Im a republican who wanted the GOP to work with the dems, and help out all of our fellow americans who for years were rushing to the E.R for basic common colds and paper cuts. The cost health care will never go down. But there is a chance we may be able to slow it down.

Americans have to stand together at some point. MSMBC and FOX news do a good job keeping our blood presure up. We had better get on board with team AMERICA. Our nation is getting left behind.

We are not going back to republican health care plan, "If you get sick, it in the hands of insurance executives." The Kochs and the right wingers have spent over a billion dollars to encourage people to break the law by not signing up for the ACA, and it is beginning to backfire on the Goopers.

i am surprised that so many folks enrolled, since the repubs have spend billions of dollars convincing the gullible that they dont need healthcare, and dying at the end of the street is a better bargain. its a shame how the repubs uses their superior propaganda machine to get the gullible super stupid. now for crying out loud, we've been longing for a universal healthcare system that would help the majority of this country's residents get affordable healthcare, and we finally got one through the private industry, and here comes the repubs spending billions of dollars to kill it. these people should be ashamed of themselves, because they cannot seem to live for tomorrow. its always today today today for the gullible in this country, and that is what the repubs are feeding on with their way superior media, and corporate money. it is sickening to see how far the american people have fallen off their rocker.

After doing some admittedly fast math from the article, the banner should read 'Obamacare(s) on schedule to meet enrollment goals'. 1.1 thru fed exchange, 800,000 thru Medicaid and at least 2 states have reported over 600,000 enrollees, with CA at 400K and NY at 200k for a total of 2.5 million out of the expected 7 million with 90 days to go before open enrollment closes.

Another 900,000k per month and 800,000 on Medicaid for the next 3 months would take it past 7 million enrollees by 3/31.

1.1 million "enrollees", none of which have healthcare coverage until they pay their over priced premiums. And how many have actually paid? NOBODY KNOWS. Why does nobody know how many have paid? Because the disastrous Obamacare web site has not been completed and doesn't allow for payment!!

The Obama administration is asking for the insurance companies to pay for treatment even if payment wasn't received! The Obama administration is going to send billions to health insurance companies to cover the cots and "they will work it out later". This is all a TOTAL FARCE!!

And where are all of these new Medicaid people going to get treatment? People already on Medicaid can't find doctors to treat them or have to travel great distances to get treatment after months of waiting.

This whole scam is a house of cards that is doomed to collapse and when it does it will take our healthcare system down with it, unless of course it gets taken over by the federal government as it is too big to fail, just like GM. Then we have what the Democrats have wanted all along, government owned and run healthcare. Obamacare will have accomplished its mission. A poison pill to our healthcare system. Unless of course the Democrats can be thrown out of office in 2014 and 2016 in order to stop that from happening.

Liar of the year, you have heard of credit cards, right? You can buy things without paying first.

How slick does it get? The ACA's cancelled PCIP plan sent me a coupon to pay for a month's coverage at $444, and told me to refer to the 2014 PCIP brochure! The 2014 PCIP brochure doesn't EXIST, because the plan is cancelled!
Another fine example of the theft from the left, folks. Be sure and read the fine print on anything you receive from this government on health care.

Are you serious? The Obamacare web site takes no payment of any kind, including and especially credit cards. The web site has no security, nobody in their right mind would provide them with a credit card number.

@Obama-Liar of the Year–Your right it is a scam. A scam to show the entire country that our insurance programs, as well as our entire medical industry from top to bottom is broken and greed based. Next step? OMG!!! Socialism!!! Single Payer!!!
Which might keep hoards of people out of bankruptcy court. We can join the rest of the civilized world, and not be ranked as having one of the worst medical care systems in the world. Of course we might have to cut the death dealing military budget. Wouldn't that be horrible.
