(CNN) - A federal judge ruled Monday that Chicago's ban on virtually all sales and transfers of firearms is unconstitutional.
"The stark reality facing the City each year is thousands of shooting victims and hundreds of murders committed with a gun. But on the other side of this case is another feature of government: certain fundamental rights are protected by the Constitution, put outside government's reach, including the right to keep and bear arms for self-defense under the Second Amendment," wrote U.S. District Judge Edmond Chang.
This nation needs total gun-ban laws. Period. Take off Amendment. Period.
Another loss for democrats in Obama's home town.
A judge with common sense who would have known.
Good for chicago's law abiding citizens
The Right to Bear Arms is also the Right not to be a Victim.
Still waiting to see what a gun, any gun, is good for except to kill.
Don't give me the hunting for the homeless c r a p either. We are a country of blood and violence.
I am sure the family of the five year old who received a gun for his birthday with which he killed his sister are still buying the kid more guns.
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
