    I just have two questions:

Why didn't anyone ask Christie what the reasons were for Wildstein and that other guy quitting so suddenly?

    and

Why didn't he want to talk to the woman he fired. He could have found out whose idea it was and why she
did it. The "frankly I don't want to know" reason is pretty lame, unless, of course, he already knew.

    Oops...edit...remembered another...

Anyhoo...Christie did what he needed to here for the most part. The only thing he really kind of messed up on was staying too long as it gave his talking points and answers time to get a little muddled and stray into subject matter he didn't need to be talking about. One might wonder how he had 2 sleepless nights when he only supposedly found out about this yesterday morning. The claim that he and Wildstein weren't friends rings fairly hollow too. And he certainly should never have started talking about whether the traffic study may have existed or not (there's ZERO evidence that it did). There were a couple others as well. The rubber will hit the road with the evidence once it's collected and it will show what it shows.

"And where is the IRS investigation going? It is being headed by an Obama campaign contributor!"
    --
Darrell Issa is an Obama campaign contributor? Who knew?
    --

Not keeping up these days are you Sniffit... Or are you just lying like Obama?

"Responding to an exclusive story in The Washington Times, the American Center for Law and Justice said that the selection of Barbara Kay Bosserman, a trial lawyer in the Justice Department who has donated money to Mr. Obama’s presidential campaigns, threatens to undercut the integrity of the investigation and raises questions about the administration’s promise to get to the bottom of the IRS scandal." Oooohhhh... Let's talk about Benghazi, or Eric Holder, or chiffon curtains for the bathroom... .anything but the topic of this thread!!!
Let's say it was the librul media, or because of Fast and Furious, or Sebelius... anything but the topic of this thread!!!

I know you righties are so used to playing offense by creating some 'scandal' out of thin air. You don't need evidence or a paper trail... Heck, you don't even need a firm setiting in reality to create one of your 'scandals' and become, "Outraged... simply outraged!".
You obviously wouldn't know what to say about a REAL scandal in politics, based on your posts on this thread (because this is a REAL scandal and you want to talk about anything but...)
Is it wrong that I am smiling?

"What kind of a Governor is unaware of the top story in his state's newspapers???"

Umm ... Let me think now. Yep, I've got the answer: A Governor who is foolish enough to accept (his words, not mine) that a "bridge study" was begun on the first day of school traffic ... on a bridge that is known (hopefully by him) to be the busiest bridge in the world under any circumstance? And who then chooses (for whatever reason) to sit back and allow the congestion to continue for four more days?

How does my answer work for you?

very good at changing the point. he denies even knowing or ever seeing mayor Lee and then says that there was no bad blood between them that he "actually spoke at his inauguration". Also it was ok to joke about the situation until it is proven that the action came from his office. The bottom line, he protests and denies too much. Playing dumb and smart. He was definitely a lawyer and a good but obvious liar.

"so you have proof that christie did this?"
    --
I'll be first to say there is yet to be any concrete proof of a direct link to Christie. There is proof, however, of some of the bad actors involved and proof that it was indeed politically motivated retaliation of some sort. That those actors are in his closets circle of staff and aides is circumstantial evidence that he knew about it, and certainly bodes ill for him staying high and dry, but I won't use the word proof for it yet. I can wait and see. No need to rush to judgment. It is what it is and I don't need to shout about elephants hiding in the strawberry patch the way the GOP/Teatrolls have done to Obama.

No, you have no circumstantial evidence! Aren't you supposed to be lawyer? You have guilt by association.

And if proof of Christie's prior knowledge or involvement in such a stupid, childish action were to come to light then I will be the first to condemn him and demand his resignation as well.

Republicans are the only ones that are hedl accountable in the press. All the bad actors on the left get a free pass. Just look at Charlie Rangel. The guy should have been drummed out of Congress.

"has she said she takes responsibility for his death and the death of the other 3 americans? no"

“As I have said many times since September 11, I take responsibility. Nobody is more committed to getting this right. I am determined to leave the State Department and our country safer, stronger, and more secure.”
-Hillary Clinton, opening statement before Congress

    You guys are pathetic.

well, after hearing AC 360 last night, and Lauer on Today show, and listening to Christy's 100 + minute speech, I guess I was wrong with the Great White Hope.....IF the Hill dog didn't run, I honestly was going to give this guy my Vote, if he was on the POTUS Ticket, in 2016....I mean, you've got McDonnell / Jindal / a whole host of others, but I really & truly was going to vote for him....Now, I guess IF the "Hill Dog" don't run, I guess there's nobody else in the "moderate" position to Vote for.....too bad....He's nothing but a big Liar, ( hate to say it that way)

"the American Center for Law and Justice "

Is a for-profit law firm directly related to Pat Robertson's Regent University. It was created as a "counterweight" to the ACLU in order to push the conservative Christian agenda. They have zero credibility. Moreover, the substance of the argument they make is patently ridiculous....as if the only attorneys fit to investigate anything must have either not given personal, private donations to the POTUS's campaign or who actually donated to the other candidate. They cite no credible evidence that Bosserman has been biased in carrying out her duties in the past or will or would be biased in carrying out her duties now or in the future. They merely demand the inference that she's corrupt.

and the proof that christie was involved in it or even knew about it is where? it doesn't exist. let us know when you have some actual evidence though instead of zilch.

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. Politics isn't a court of law. It's the venue of the innuendos. Christie's the captain of a ship which is mired with vindictive vigilantes. His claims of ignorance are as convincing as Nixon's, "Im no crook."

why does main stream media always give the president a free ride, but when a republican has a scandal they want a resignation

Kelly lied to Chris Christie about how fat he is. They put up road block signs to detour him from reaching his batcave doughnut destination.

Unfortunately, Christie has lost credibility with his inability to understand what's going in the top ranks of his own administration.

Christie cannot somehow claim 'I didn't know' when this heinous act happened over four days with repeated calls to his governor's office about the incident. Either gross incompetence or a willful dishonesty. Either way, not good.
