Obama signs $1.1 trillion spending bill

(CNN) - President Barack Obama signed into law on Friday a $1.1 trillion spending bill that will fund the government through the end of September.

The massive bipartisan legislation broke years of forced budget cuts and constant fights over funding in Congress.

The spending plan will roll back some cuts, raise federal worker pay and have a surprisingly broad effect on Americans' everyday lives, from the light bulbs in lamps to the lines at airport security.

Before signing the bill, Obama spoke to staff at the White House budget office and thanked them for their work, according to a pool report.

He also joked about the size of the bill and that he had to get back to the White House for First Lady Michelle Obama's 50th birthday.

People gotta be alert, Obama, Boehner and the Republicans are selling out the American workers again by signing the TPP pack. This allow those low paying countries to complete with our workers and take away more jobs. We were sold out by NAFTA, now it TPP. It is being kept a secret but Boehner is pushing for approval saying it will create more jobs, Really Boehner, more jobs for the low wage workers overseas.
This is another case of our law makers selling out the working class. They did it with NAFTA, where states lost tens of thousands of jobs. MI 50K, OH 38K, are just 2 states that lost jobs to NAFTA. Vietnam and China can pay low wages, so companies will move there. Wake up America, your government is a TRAITOR to you.

Despite the poor Obamacare rollout, I am getting the sense that the President is emerging much stronger. It seems that Republicans have grown weary of saying – no. Perhaps Senator Reid's move to break the filibuster opened the Democratic skies.

Mr. President. I suspect you held your nose when you signed this. Let's hope and pray that next year the GOP garbage will be gone and you can sign legislation that will help all of us.

Please Rick. The idiocy in this bill includes no less that 10 edicts that ACORN gets no federal funding (despite the fact it was killed in 2010). The GOP still have no freaking clue about how to fix their little economic unpleasantness of 2008, and they'll still rail that despite promising to pay for the things in this bill, they'll seek to shut down the government a mere two months before the election because they don't want to raise the debt limit.

Democrats grossly mis-calculated Obamacare. Will Obama start draining the $1.1 Trillion to pay Obamacare's shortcomings out of the Ryan-Murray budget funds? Then what?

God help America This man will come closer than anyone in history to bringing it to an end, Every lose of freedom brings him closer to his goal of bankrupting theUS A man who never built anything except a political career and did that by bombarding his opponents with frivolous suites . What an embarresment to all the men and woman who put their life down for this beliefs that we fight for freedom. Obama has shown his contempt for our freedoms just like bush with the difference being Obama had a dream to turn this country into a dictatorship as he does with his contempt for any law and person that can't see it his way . Truly has outstept his bounds as president, Somthing has to be done

    Eh,
You know what they say. A billion here, a billion there. Pretty soon we talking real money. Write your Congressman and help return all Social Programs back to the States where they belong. Then if your state wants to blow the budget at least you approved it. Next big fight will be the debt ceiling because the Liberal's have no concept of fiscal reality. Rumors are flying that the Insurance Companies will have to be Bailed Out because of Obama Care. As they say, a billion here, a billion there. Clue. Republicans didn't cause this Fiasco. Pelosi was going to drain the swamp. I guess she didn't have enough Shovel's.
