Washington (CNN) -- Even though it was Republican party leaders meeting in Washington this week, Hillary Clinton might as well have been there.
In the halls between Republican National Committee meetings, the former secretary of state's name came up in conversation regularly. At a rules committee meeting on Thursday night, Clinton - the prohibitive favorite for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 - was referred to as "she who should not be named." And at the powwow's most-watched events, Republicans pledged a laser-like focus on winning back the White House in 2016.
Hillary would be disastrous.......worse than Obama.
Jeb Bush / Liz Cheney 2016
"she who should not be named."
Wow! Just when you thought you'd seen the last of the shrub family, another one pops up to spoil the recovery.
Hillary for President!
LOL – I love the smell of fear on a chilly Saturday morning!
@Rick McDaniel, and who do you think is better brainless Christie, you've got to be kidding..Wait and see if he survives this bridge scandal or his giving the nod to a advertising agencys 4.7 million dollar bid more than doubling the other 2 million dollar bid because only his family was put in the ad..Can you say not only fat but corrupt as well..And Rick look up how he's hid his past problems when he was NJ attorney general and how he put off court cases sometimes indefinitely because his political contributors were involved..That'll come out bud if he runs ,just watch out!!Probibly by his own party as well no less...
The GOP should concentrate on fielding viable candidates that don't pander to the lowest level of American politics instead of worrying about Hillary Clinton. Maybe if republicans had any new or innovative ideas she wouldn't be such a threat.
The only thing "lurking in the corners" at Republican meetings is raw insanity.
Clinton has already had multiple medical problems and will be over 70 in 2016. I don't think she can run another national campaign. Biden is even older. Elizabeth Warren is a couple of year younger, and slightly better in health history. Democrats, known as being a party of the young, don't' have a single national candidate under 65.
@Daviddavid,remember Reagan was just shy of his 70th birthday..And if you also remember how his son Ronnie was disowned by the family for a book telling how his mother ran the country in his 2nd term because of old Ronnie having alzheimers, dementia couldn't remember at lunch what he had for breakfast..Also Hillary has a much more intelligent, savior political partner in Bill to help her politically for insight than any republican and that's a fact that scares them...
