Obama: ‘Of course’ Fox News is unfair

(CNN) – Fox News Channel, the cable giant whose conservative primetime hosts regularly go after President Barack Obama, is “of course” unfair in its attacks, Obama argued in an interview aired on the network Monday.

The sit-down, conducted by Bill O’Reilly, was taped after a live grilling Sunday night in which O’Reilly quizzed the president on health care, the IRS scandal over the targeting of political action groups and the attack at a U.S. diplomatic compound in Libya – all issues conservatives argue were Obama’s fault.

Asked if he was unfair to Obama, the president responded to O'Reilly: "Of course you are, Bill. But I like you anyway.”

“This list of issues you asked about – they’re defined by you guys in a certain way,” Obama continued. “But this is OK. If you want to be president of the United States, then you know you’re going to be subject to criticism,” Obama said, adding he thought the conservative bent has “made Fox News very successful.”

“Here’s what you guys are going to have to figure out: What are you going to do when I’m gone?” Obama asked.

Later, asked if he was the “most liberal president in history,” Obama suggested that Republican President Richard Nixon’s policies could be seen as further to the left.

“When you look at some of my policies, in a lot of ways Richard Nixon was more liberal than I was,” he said, citing the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency during Nixon’s presidency.

So pointing out the many lies and using the mans own words against him to prove those lies is unfair? This president is a loon.

Too funny. I have to hand it to Obama, going on FOX News is like a hen holding a meeting with wolves to discuss fair treatment.

Fox News is a spoof or hoax full and entainment. Most people know what it is. It is full of half truths or it wouldn't be where it is today.

Is CNN making a point here? Let me help out here. Is FOX News unfair to President Obama? In some cases, yes, such as the shows that offer opinions like Sean Hannity and some of the guests they have on those type of shows, but I would say Bill O'Reilly and the News segments are fair to him. FOX News is different than most other news organizations because they don't try to protect this president like other news organizations do but that doesn't make them unfair.

The media is there for the purpose of keeping our politicians and our political process transparent. They ask questions to get answers and to keep the general public aware of what is going on. If the politicians don't want to answer then they will be hounded until they do or the truths are uncovered by invesigations. If you think President Obama answered the questions asked of him last night, you are a fool....a biased fool. Stonewalling is not the answer we as taxpayers deserve. Keep lying and stonewalling and Fox News will continue to pursue this Administration. NBC,CBS,CNN,MSLSD, ABC....none will ask the tough questions that get to the truth. Answer the question, truthfully, Mr. President, Jay Carney, Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, David Plouffe etc, etc, etc.......

I don't think Mr. Obama should have wasted his time by allowing Fox News to interview him. They are rude, disrespectful, and mean. Besides, what they think of Mr. Obama and what kind or president he is, is immaterial.

I'm sorry... if the President thinks that Bill O'Reilly is biased against him then he really needs a reality check. Sure... there are folks biased against him.... but then most of the media is biased in favor of him. O'Reilly is probably one of the closest things we have left to an unbiased major media political host (given that none are completely unbiased).. and if the President is claiming this is biased journalism he is the one who needs the reality check since he obviously expects the media to be extremely biased sychophants if he is saying O'Reilly is biased.

I guess it is 'unfair' to ask questions that obama doesn't like. After watching the interview, I found it fascinating that obama never answered any of the questions. Most of his answers were lies anyway.

I wonder if he's willing to admit he's been unfair to Fox. How about being willing to admit NBC is unfair to the right? The President acts as though there is no evidence of targeting the Tea Party and Conservatives, as though his administration has been forthcoming on Benghazi, as though Obamacare isn't a disaster, and that far beyond the website.

This is a President who had no major qualifications to be President, no major accomplishments, and nothing to show since being elected he is capable of being a successful President, beyond being an outstanding reader/speaker. Worst in history...by far.

Anyone with any common sense can see that Fox News is nothing more that Murdock's personal propaganda machine whose main goal is to demonize the current president of the United States and to create a divisiveness in America today. All you have to do is watch world events occurring on others news stations and when you click over to Fox they are berating the President.

Fake News doesn't 'regularly' go after Obama...It's all they do! I asked my neighbor (a Faux News fiend) if they ever have any actual news on there, and I got an amateur impression of a Bill-O blow-up for an answer.

We also have Nixon to thank for taking us off the gold standard, which opened the door to deficit spending funded by money printing at the Fed.
