    Joe McCarthy reincarnate. Ted Cruz is attempting to take the establishment GOP down and have a Teahadists GOTP regime in Congress. Let's see if McConnell and Boehner will stand up to him and his Teahadists allies.

    The GOP created Ted Cruz and the Tea Party and now they have to live with it. The public will not forget all of the grief these folks have caused the country when they vote in 2014. The problem is the GOP has gerrymandered the system so the bozos will probably all get re-elected. The system must be broken when only 9% of the people have a high approval rating of Congress but 95% of them get re-elected.

    Um, Ted Cruz's father was not American at the time of his birth. He was Cuban. That's right... who happily fought alongside Fidel Castro as a teen TED CRUZ's FATHER IS A CUBAN. Rafael Bienvenido Cruz, who immigrated to the U.S. from Cuba, told NPR that though he came to the country legally, he essentially bribed an official to get out of Cuba so he could come over.In an interview near his home outside Dallas, the elder Cruz says that as a teenager, he fought alongside Fidel Castro’s forces to overthrow Cuba’s U.S.-backed dictator, Fulgencio Batista. He was caught by Batista’s forces, he says, and jailed and beaten before being released. It was 1957, and Cruz decided to get out of Cuba by applying to the University of Texas. Upon being admitted, he adds, he got a four-year student visa at the U.S. Consulate in Havana. And his mother was an American. And he was born in Calgary Alberta. I don't know how having a Cuban father makes you more American than Obama somehow.

    In women's Olympic hockey, the winner of the gold, whether Canada or the US should also have to take Cruz with them.

    He's doing something right if Washington is mad at him. He's working for the people who elected him – and for the country. We need more like him.

    @Silence,
    Reading your comments day in day out I have to say that while we agree on some things, you honestly have no idea what the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party is nor what their issues are. You are lazily trying to lump the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) in with Christian Conservatives. They are different. Very, very different.

    While the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party has no singular leader and is made up of different groups, the predominant issue to them is financial. Most don't care whatsoever about social issues (unless they are politicians then they are basically required to have stances on a wider array of issues) but the huge, huge majority do not care about the social issues. I am a prime example of that. Can you give individual examples where they have strayed? Of course. Don't you think I can do the same with democrats? Of course I can. Dems, nor repubs are immune to idiots within their parties. Either you are knowingly mischaracterizing the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) or you are willfully ignorant. Not sure why you feel the need to demonize a group that just wants the govt to be smaller and less intrusive.

    I'm still trying to figure out what qualifies a Canadian born man to be POTUS, but a man born on American soil supposedly isn't.

    Where are the birthers now? Trump the chump, where for art thou???

    Ya know freedom, I recall Cruz making a speech about Jesse Helms, remember him? One of the greatest bigots to hold a senate seat in modern times. Cruz said we needed 100 more just like good ole Jesse. You think he is working for the American people? Really? Then change your moniker. Something along the line of "Massa" would be more appropriate. You are known by the people you hang with.

    You have made my day. What you call facetious may reach levels of irony or sarcasm.

    Great analogy ,
    thats like saying if all the neighbors in the neighborhood dislike a guy who continually burns his garbage on his front lawn and who throws his empty beer cans in the street , the guy must be doing something right in the name of Freedom .

    Your comment (like most of yours) is meaningless. Do you see any Dems jumping up and supporting Byrd? No? Didn't think so. Deflect, deflect, deflect.

    With nuts like this in the (so called), tea party, the country is in no danger of them ever taking the White House. They need but open their mouths to display their ignorant, bigoted, racist, and backward ways.

    People have differing tastes in people. Some people like this guy while other people think he's creepy. It's interesting to me that many of the things his supporters like about him are the things the people who don't like him can't stand. It's mostly because our candidates these days, particularly ones like Cruz, are so extreme, they appeal to the fringe-folks. Our country desperately needs moderates in politics rather than these extremists.
