Scott Brown jams on stage with Cheap Trick

(CNN) – As Scott Brown mulls another Senate bid this year, he's taking some time to rock out.

The former Massachusetts senator, who's considering a challenge against Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen in his new home state of New Hampshire, jammed Sunday night with the band Cheap Trick, playing their 1978 single "Surrender."

"Hope you all enjoy this as much as I did," the Republican said in a post on Facebook, linking to the YouTube video of Brown singing and playing the guitar.

The concert took place in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Brown, who started learning to play the guitar about year ago, also played in December with his daughter, Ayla, and Mike Huckabee on the former Arkansas governor's Fox News Channel program.

CNN's Dana Bash and Ashley Killough contributed to this report.

I really do hope Scoot Brown runs for Senate in NH and takes that Senate seat out of the hands of an Obamacare supporter. Come on people of NH, we are counting on you! Just say NO to Obamacare and Democrats, say YES responsible Republican leadership that doesn't want to wreck your healthcare system.

How appropriate; Cheap Trick and Surrender, 2 themes the GOP loves and understands well.

Our situation is unique, and requires a unique solution that goes beyond a fence, fines, deportation, and xenophobia.

The ONLY thing unique about our situation is that we have a government and a Democrat Party that refuses to enforce all of our immigration laws. Other countries do not encourage and reward law breakers, they arrest, punish and deport them.

Why do the Democrats support and encourage these illegals? If new laws are passed, will you still refuse to enforce the borders and arrest and deport all illegals? Of course, you will still refuse to enforce the new law, just as you refused to enforce the old laws.
    *************************************
You've already made your mind up that Democrats won't enforce the law in spite of massive evidence to the contrary. Its the GOP that has run up a record of meaningless noise on the subject screaming about " Amnesty" when they have never been willing to foot the bill for the their own policies. That's the GOP, scream loud and never pay. Besides, whatever happened to that vaunted rightie belief in local governments determining for themselves what is best? If a city decides it is a santuary city, they deal with the consequences: isn't that how it works, or is all your newfound talk about civil liberties yet another right-wing lie?

Welcome to NH Senator Brown, waiting for the announcement and will work for your election. Government works best in a bipartisan way when both sides give and take to develop what is best for the nation. It doesn't work well one one party passes major legislation like the Affordable Care Act, without the benefit of the other party's logical constraints. ACA is a mess due to un-tempered one party rule.

    --
The only "massive evidence" is the 10-20 MILLION illegals in this country that the Democrats REFUSE to deport, AGAIN. The other evidence is that almost all of them walked across our undefended southern border. How many tens or hundreds of thousands are detained then set free again to walk our streets? Again, refusal to enforce the laws.

Its the GOP that has run up a record of meaningless noise on the subject screaming about " Amnesty" when they have never been willing to foot the bill for the their own policies. That's the GOP, scream loud and never pay.
    -–
Never pay? Republicans foot the bill for everything in this country. When you get the free riding 47% to start paying even a few cents towards the maintenance of this country, then you can criticize others. And it is Democrats that are the ones demanding amnesty and citizenship as a reward to these law breakers. Democrats, always the champion of the criminals.

Besides, whatever happened to that vaunted rightie belief in local governments determining for themselves what is best? If a city decides it is a santuary city, they deal with the consequences: isn't that how it works, or is all your newfound talk about civil liberties yet another right-wing lie?
    -–

It figures you equate law breakers and the people that support and encourage them (accessories to a crime) to "civil liberties". It illustrates your complete lack of understanding of what a nation of laws means. As Obama has also proven, he doesn't know what it means either with is dictatorial changes to laws or refusal to enforce them. The Democrats and the left are nothing more than an organized crime syndicate masquerading as a political party.

Rich people with stock love it. And then there are the record number of unemployed people thanks to Obama and the Democrats that could care less as they struggle to get by and find a job in this dismal economy. Obama and the Democrats have done more to devastate the middle class over the last 5 years with their failure to get the economy moving again. They complain and whine about income inequality while keeping people unemployed for years. And then brag about how good the stock market is doing.

A little bit of a demographic problem, no? Cheap Trick's last hit was 1978. That means half of the eligible voters in New Hampshire have never heard of them. Pandering to over-40 white folks isn't the winning strategy it once was. The GOP just can't seem to understand that.

  20. Bill from GA

Tommy G (regarding Christie) Actually, he IS innocent.

Innocent until proven guilty is a legal matter. You are innocent or guilty based on your actions, whether they can be proven or not. I doubt if you know any more if Christie is guilty or innocent than I do, but someone did the deed (Bridgegate) and they did it under his administration. They were people he is responsible for.

If he knew nothing, he is incompetent.

LMAO!!!!! The individual mandate – the cornerstone of Obamacare – was originally proposed by the Heritage Foundation – a conservative group – and first implemented on a large scale in Massachusetts under then-Gov. Romney.

And here's something to chew on: UnitedHealthCare (A HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY) puts it best on their website (FAQ section) as to why it is the responsible thing to do to sign up for Obamacare:

    Q. I'm young and healthy. Why do I need health insurance?
    A. Despite your age and health, you never know when a serious injury or illness will strike. You're not invincible. And if you don't have insurance, who'll pay your bills? Do you have the money to pay $1,500 to fix a broken leg or $3,000 to stay in the hospital? Insurance gives you the peace of mind that, yes, most of your medical bills will be covered in case something happens.

    Q. If I get sick but don't have the money to pay, won't doctors and hospitals treat me?
    A. Yes, most doctors and hospitals will treat you, but they will aggressively pursue collection of your unpaid medical bills by turning your account over to a collection agency. Yes, some hospitals write off a certain amount of care each
year, called "indigent care," but if you or your family fail to meet strict requirements, they'll come after you to pay. Somebody will pay - either you as a paying patient in the form of higher medical bills, or taxpayers.

    --

What is being implemented is NOT the ACA. What is being implemented is some mutated, perverted law unilaterally changed, delayed or exempted by Obama around 28 times. It is NOT the law that was passed by Congress.

Afraid it will work? Yes, actually I am as it's purpose is to destroy our current healthcare system and replace it will completely government run healthcare. So far it has wrecked the healthcare coverage of millions of Americans and Obama was so afraid of far more damage he has delayed the employer mandate twice now to try and avoid the political consequences. The Liar in Chief is not fooling anybody anymore.
