Was it a race for mayor - on city streets? TV report shows NY mayor on speedy trip

New York (CNN) – New York Mayor Bill de Blasio must have been in a hurry to get somewhere Thursday, according to a local media report that featured video of the mayor's two-car caravan speeding on city streets, blowing through stop signs and violating other traffic laws - just two days after he announced a traffic-safety initiative.

The report by CNN affiliate WCBS, accompanied by the station's exclusive video, said the mayor's car was being driven by a member his security detail, with de Blasio in the passenger seat.

It is always the same old story with these far left Democrats. They want to make up laws and regulations to control everybody elses lives, but refuse to live under those regulations and laws themselves.

Well, you're getting what you deserve NYC for electing this far left loon. The fun is just beginning....

He's riding around almost as if he were the POTUS. Power doesn't corrupt. Power attracts those most easily corrupted.

Diblasio was sitting in the front seat and could have very easily told the dirver to slow down and obey the traffic laws. He shows he lacks good judgement. If they had run down and killed a person, would the city of NYC and Diblasio personally be liable for millions? If not, why not?

NYC had better reel this clown in before he does hurt somebody.

Er.... perhaps you should take a listen to mr. christie's recent remarks about his favorite part of being governor (other than using his power to be vindicatively punitive against lesser ranking officials from the opposition party by placing the citizens he has sworn to protect in danger)- he says he just loves to have the Lincoln tunnel shut down to all other traffic so he can go through it in his governor's limousine without having to wait on the peon citizens of his state (okay, I just added that last part about peons, cause he just kinda' left that unsaid).
Oh that, and he like to use the State Helicopter to fly into his son's little league games (at a cost of $18,000+).

    Pot.... meet kettle.

  7. just asking

The alleged traffic violations came just two days after de Blasio unveiled his "Vision Zero" plan, an approach that combines "education, smarter streets, and strong enforcement to reduce dangerous and illegal behavior on our streets," according to the mayor's official website.
"We've put a very bold plan before you and we want the public to know we're holding ourselves to this standard," the mayor said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Just – I don't remember anyone asking you. So you think that addressing the problems that he was elected to fix is "zero vision?" It must be hard to be a republican.

No wonder this clown wants all the horse drawn carriages off the streets of NYC. They could slow him down as he speeds from fund raiser to fund raiser, running over the unwashed masses.
