Texas ban on same-sex marriage struck down

The decision is the latest in a series of federal and state court moves to overturn current laws forbidding gay and lesbians from legal wedlock.

“ Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch toward uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one-half the world fools and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth.“ – Thomas Jefferson

Can't wait to see what Donna, Just Saying, Stuffitu, Tommy G and the rest of the Right-Wing junta have to say about this. Be prepared to be dazzled by an explosion of irrational hatred and bile.

This is ridiculous now!!!!!!!! A law is a law and should not be struck down. If that is the case then a judge can strike down Obamacare because it is not a good law and we should not have to suffer through it.

@ Dominican mama: "Might be a full moon today, I gotta go check......"

Let me know how that works out for you. I took a break and walked to the store for some groceries and WOW I'm sick of the cold. I shudder at the thought of getting too close to my drapes ... even for just a peek outside.

"Love the disclaimer, ThinkAgain... had you not posted that you would probably have already been attacked by all the rwnj's on here, who wouldn't know humor if it hit them with a huge powder puff and screamed "MAKE-UP" every 6 minutes and 22 seconds."

Gave me a chuckle recalling the Carol Burnett Show – thanks!!

We are being ruled by unelected liberals on the bench. Our representative democracy has been destroyed by the far left. Time to spilt this country up and go our seperate ways.

"Right. They might try to upgrade any "stand your ground" or "castle doctrine" laws, too. I think Florida's doing it now."

Yes, now you can shoot on sight not just if you feel "threatened" (i.e., minorities are inherently SCARY!!!) but also if you feel "uncomfortable" or like "he's looking at my junk" or "feel as though the other person's presence is making you question your own s-xuality" and such...

They tried it. Did not work, and was upheld by the Conservative Chief Justice. So much for the reverence the Right has for Constitution, until it can't uphold bigotry.
