Ready for Hillary backed candidate loses election

(CNN) - In the lead up to Tuesday's special election in New Hampshire, Ready for Hillary, a super PAC urging Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2016, touted their involvement in the race for the state's Executive Council.

One problem: The Democrat lost.

The most important poll number in 2014?

Washington (CNN) – With the midterm elections less than eight months away, and with Republicans framing the battles for control of the U.S. House and Senate as a referendum on President Barack Obama and his signature health care law, the President's approval rating will increasingly be under the spotlight.

According to a new CNN Poll of Polls that averages four new national surveys that measure the President's approval rating, 44% of Americans say they approve of the job Obama's doing in the White House, with 52% giving him a thumbs down.

Perry tells Kimmel: 'I do interviews with a gun'

(CNN) - Giving a hint at a possible second run for the White House, Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Tuesday on late night TV that, "America is a great place for second chances. Let's keep it at that."

Perry's answer came in an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," after the host asked the longtime GOP governor of Texas why he would want to make another presidential bid in 2016 after his 2012 campaign "didn't go so well."
