Ready for Hillary backed candidate loses election

(CNN) - In the lead up to Tuesday's special election in New Hampshire, Ready for Hillary, a super PAC urging Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2016, touted their involvement in the race for the state's Executive Council.

One problem: The Democrat lost.

Democrat Mike Cryans conceded the race to Republican Joe Kenney on Wednesday morning, according to CNN affiliate WMUR. In a statement, Cryans said he "I left a message for Joe Kenney and wished him the best of luck on the council."

For Ready for Hillary, the foray into local politics was an early investment that could have later paid off in New Hampshire, which holds the first-in-the-nation presidential primary. The Executive Council is the executive body of New Hampshire that advises and checks the power of the state's governor. Because of the outsized role the state plays in presidential elections, ties to the state's Executive Council are important for prospective candidates.

In a statement to CNN, Seth Bringman, Ready for Hillary spokesman, said the group was happy with the work they did in the run up to Tuesday's election.

"We are proud our supporters engaged in this election," Bringman said.

The super PAC had 20 volunteers working for Democrats on Tuesday, but was admittedly focused on the Executive Council race. The group primarily focused on organizing at Dartmouth College, where Bringman said volunteers worked "to make sure students knew about the election."

Republicans seized on the fact that the Ready for Hillary backed candidate lost. American Rising, a Republican leaning opposition research group and super PAC, highlighted Cryans loss in an email to reporters and a blog post on Wednesday.

Ready for Hillary has begun to get involved in the 2014 election cycle. Over the weekend, Ready for Hillary activists were in Iowa - another critical state in presidential elections - where the group worked to sign up supporters at Democratic county conventions throughout the state.

Despite Tuesday's loss, Bringman said the group will not stop their local election organizing.

We "look forward to continuing to engage our grassroots networks in races across the country this year," he said.

It is one candidate in one race. This is not a referendum on Hillary Clinton. Was there anything that this person would have done to get Hillary Clinton to run the state? It doesn't seem that way to me. She hasn't declared anything.

The only downside of Ms.Clinton running for office will be that we have to sit through meaningless drivel like this and Rush lies.
On the other hand, comedians will have material for years.
Sadly, folks like this are easy parrots for talk radio hosts, and IQ does not block voting in a free country.
    Get out the Vote Dems!!!

So the GOP won 2 local elections. You'd think Ronald Reagan rose from the dead from the amount of elation on the message boards today. I guess the right hasn't had much to cheer about lately.

The Kochs have some good campaign ads with lies about ACA running in MI. The lady with cancer when proven wrong just can't believe that she keeps her doctor and saves money too. In the next few months, the $800 million that the billionaires and their friends spent to derail the ACA will have been wasted.

As for Jolly, the lobbyist who beat Sink, he convinced the seniors who make up one forth of the district, that social programs are bad, and Sink was Nancy Pelosi.

Another lost again for the democrats. The American people are finally seeing the light and are deciding no more of this nonsense from the democratic party and Obama. I am proud of them because they do not want them to lead us into any more disasters so they are voicing their opinion by voting against the democratic party.

and now we have her 2008 campaign implicated in dirty campaign money. and ones wonders about all the millions that are passing through their front organization, the clinton global initiative. dead people and dirty money just seem to follow the clintons around no matter where they go.

The Democrat lost because America isn't finished letting the Republicans in the House and Senate screw this country around. If there is any justice in this country, the White House, Senate and House should wind up in Republican hands. Then these bozos will have to actually put their tiny brains to ruling this country instead of just waiting for President Obama to say something so that they can disagree. Yep, actually ruling the place will be a pistol. And all of you who THINK you will be happy about it may find out that you will be among the ones hurting from their policies. It won't just be "those other people who are not like me". Oh, where are those jobs Boehner & Company promised to create if only they had control of the House? Crickets.....

Yes, we know. It was a fine example of no compromise politics. Obamacare was a fine example and we all see how that train wreck is working out now. But you are slightly mistaken as the Democrats have been in control for SEVEN years now. The controlled the House and Senate for the last two years of the Bush administration.

So after 7 years of Democrats running the show, we have record unemployment, debt, deficits, the world in flames, our healthcare system being destroyed by obamacare and where is Obama? Golfing and campaign fund raising in between celebrity events of comedy show appearances.

Let me see – ID required for OBAMAcare (ACA) this is god, fair and needed. It will not be hard for the elderly or poor to get their ID.
ID required for voters is bad and will not allow for the dead, illegals, and two time voters to cast their ballots. It is also so verrrry hard for the elderly and poor to get ID’s.

@Silence DoGood – So tell me again why the rate of increase of the national debt has gone up under Obama and the Democrat controlled Senate and how this is the fault of Bush.....look at the numbers man....do some math....it really isn't that difficult....

And I was correct....the usual suspects are here telling us left is right, up is down and weakness is strength.....reminds me of a book that I read a number of years ago.....
