By the numbers: The final Obamacare push

Washington (CNN) – After a spike in signups on the last day for open enrollment, Obamacare is on track to hit the White House's original target for enrollees, a senior administration official said Tuesday.

How did they do it?

Here’s a look at their final push, by the numbers:

7 million: The original goal for signups by March 31. The administration official said they're on track to reach that goal, despite major technical problems with HealthCare.gov in the weeks following the website's launch on October 1.

400: The number of radio stations that administration officials and their surrogates, including celebrities and athletes, appeared on to promote Obamacare since late February.

80: The number of interviews Senior White House adviser Valerie Jarrett gave to boost the health care law. Chief of Staff Denis McDonough also gave dozens of interviews.

300:
The total number of radio interviews administration officials took part in over the last six weeks, the White House said. (That figure includes interviews by Jarrett and McDonough)

5,000: The number of "grassroots” events held by groups supportive of the Affordable Care Act in the past six weeks, officials said.

100:
The number of celebrities and athletes who tweeted out pitches for consumers to sign up for coverage.

33 million: The number of views of HealthCare.gov that came from videos promoting enrollment, including the now-famous segment between actor Zach Galifianakis and the President on the website "Funny or Die." Those figures come from White House officials tracking the data.

350 million:
The number of Twitter followers reached in the final Obamacare push, with 40,400 retweets produced, White House officials added.

Who's numbers is this , the White House? How many actually paid to have insurance? How many of those without insurance signed up and paid? How many young people signed up and paid? How many applied for and got Medicaid? There are many more answers that need answering to state officially the ACA works.

wonderful. Sad that the repo trolls would wish for all these people not to have insurance and keep trying to put it down. Vote them all out this next election. Keep America strong and united.

Interesting... they seem to know all the numbers when it comes to all of their marketing of Obamacare and then when they are asked questions about how many have actually paid, and how many people signing had insurnce previously, and how many signing up were signing up because obamacare cancelled their other insurance, and how many young healthy people are signing up, they are totally in the dark. Or more likely, they have the information and are refusing to disclose it because it undermines their Obamacre failry tale.

I hope our naysayers of the Right take notice- not only did enrollment break the revised CBO enrollment benchmark, but the original higher one from before last October as well. So much for "there is no demand for Obamacare", eh? Maybe this will inspire the 'wingers in Congress to try to work with the President on the ACA instead of holding another 50 or so meaningless votes on ending the ACA. Meanwhile, the LA Times had a wonderful piece yesterday on the Right's excuses for Obamacare working. You might want to consult that before posting today.
    Good day!

There are reports out of California that voter registration cards are being sent with Obamacare papers and they are pre marked Democrat. That wouldn't surprise me a bit.

    Eh,
Fighting the Battle of the Bulge again I see. By the Numbers? Well Lyndon Johnson got elected, "By the Numbers" to the Senate in 1948, after they "Stuffed" the ballot boxes. So where do we find real proof? By looking at the real numbers of how much the Treasury takes in each Calender Year. Kinda like the Aesop Fable of who is going to put the bell on the cat. But what the hay, that is somebody else's job, no? Just give me my Freebies.

This Republican Party is out of touch with poor, American Middle-class, Morally, ethically GOP is a total-bankrupt. Yes, ACA is a Law, helping people not their homes being attached, nor wages garnished lack of health insurance.

(knowing the legislation would go nowhere and, thus, was a total waste of time, while also doing Nothing to help create jobs, or to help our President do anything at all)

Why six months into this, do they STILL not know how many people have actully paid for the insurance? Or do they know and are refusing to divulge the number? In the first case, it is incompetence, in the second, lies and deceit. So which one is it Democrats?

You appear to live in some fantasy world where employers absorb the costs of healthcare increases all on their own. There WAS a 19% increase from the year before. They agreed to waive it THIS year, but the starting point for the next sign up WILL be the higher amount. No sane person would expect their employer to be eating these costs all on their own.
19% increase is not a small amount. Obamacare has done nothing to lower MY healthcare insurance. And now I am paying for many others on Medicaid. Obamacare is the biggest screw job ever for the working middle class.

Tell me what state you live in and I'll tell you WHY your premiums are increasing by so much and so quickly.

Massachusetts. Please tell me. I'm dying to hear this.

ding ding ding – We have our Conspiracy Theory of the Day!
Checking the stories revealed ONE couple unidentified claimed they got this, and we are taking their word for it (they are GOP folks of course). And then notice how "spike" here expands this to "cards are being sent", so we can all be very afraid. One more re-telling and Obama himself will be personally forcing everyone to vote Democrat.
