Official: Obamacare on track to meet original goal

Washington (CNN) - After a surge of sign-ups on enrollment deadline day, Obamacare is now on track to hit the White House's original target of 7 million people signing up, a senior administration official said Tuesday.

More than 4.8 million visits were made to healthcare.gov and 2 million calls were made to the call center Monday, raising optimism that the goal would be met, the official said.

No matter what, people are sick and tired of being denied by Insurance companies for Pre-Existing condition, Hospital overcharging, doctors defrauding Medicare, doing the same Tests multiple times to claim Money, pharmacy greed, a drug costs 10 cents in India, China costing 200/ here. These are the ones up set people. Yes, now people have Healthcare. Something is better than nothing. GOP drama ends soon. God only bless, USA!!!!!

Nobody has problem with Obamacare, except Fox channel viewers who don't get the full story. But I'm glad I did my part. Don't forget to vote in November.

Up to this point, the White House and HHS either lied about the numbers or couldn't provide even a ballpark figure. This is just another number that they pulled out of their butts. Naturally, CNN treats it as gospel. This is just the tip of the iceberg fo this disasterous legislation. Yet another Obama fail.

I was warning them last October that they needed to be robust enough to handle 5 million concurrrent users. Did they listen? Nah. Did it crash? Yah.

If I could have kept my policy I had be fore the ACA I would have no issue with the ACA. The fact is Obama either lied or is dumb with regards to the ACA. This law has punished the lower and upper middle class to help those in poverty. Sorry, but they need to help themselves. There was already plenty of state and federal programs to help the poor, which is funded by the taxpayers.

Yes!! Vote to KEEP healthcare on the table. Ins companies have been ruling the world for too long. 20 dollars for a Q-tip in hospital because they have to cover the costs of uninsured?! I thought repubs were all about everybody paying their own way! Oh. Forgot. Someone still has to pay for the old, poor and sickly. Guess that's the part they want to repeal. No one wants to go back to the way it was. It will only get better and better and cheaper and cheaper as everyone participates.

Let's assume for a moment that there are 7 million enrollees. Where's the evidence? Because so-and-so said there was? The people coming out with this information have a vested and political interest to say so. Why do you on the left just accept statements like these and declare victory? Does it never cross your mind that this is nothing but propoganda? For months, HHS has been saying "we don't have that information", but all of the sudden, just within the past few weeks, we've seen their reported numbers go from 4 million to 7 million, with nearly daily updates. It just doesn't pass the sniff test. But time will tell... and there will be hell to pay if they're caught lying again.

me too, most still don't pay their own way, getting subsidies or in case of MEDICAID free. Wasn't it the Insurance companies that Pres.Obama promised a windfall and thus they endorsed ACA .

There is no one who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth like Pres. Obama. Historians can tell all events we went through once this man came into public eyes. He is an exceptional person no one can underestimate his power. I am so impressed of this man.
