@Gurgyl... I actually saw one GOPer on here saying repealing Obamacare is a jobs bill. It still makes me laugh at how clueless a statement that was.

    GOP quick ACA history:
    - it cannot work
    - it will fail immediately on its own
    - it will fail eventually on its own
    - it will fail sometime and we will help it fail
    - no really it will fail after we pour money into attacking it
    - darn it has to fail sometime
    - let's tell people it will fail anyway
    - .........Benghazi!

7.5 million 'enrolled' (whatever that means)
5.2 million lost their healthcare because of Obamacare
    1.4 million (20%) didn't pay

estimates are that of that 7.5 million, only 800,000 didn't have healthcare insurance before.

and for this we blew up our healthcare system, will spend $2 trillion dollars, pay 21 new Obamacare taxes, lose our doctor, lose our healthcare policy, lose our hospital, had our religious rights trampled, had our personal freedoms trampled???

Yeah, sounds like a train wreck I would rather not be a part of. Repeal this joke of a law before the Democrats really do this country permanent damage by implementing the yet to come disasters Obama has delayed in order to save the Democrats in the coming election.

Yeah, except "our" economy has been getting better on his watch. Granted, it could be better, but when the opposition makes good on the promise they made to oppose EVERYTHING he is for – BEFORE HE EVEN TOOK OFFICE – that's to be expected.

Perhaps if the previous occupant hadn't messed up so badly on the foreign policy front, that "reset button" wouldn't have been necessary. Yeah, that "reset button" was necessary because of him.

and since when does 7.5 million people constitute the population of the usa?

Yeah, the jobless Obama stagnation economy is doing great. The slowest recovery in our history, still record unemployment 6 years and trillions of borrowed dollars later. Please stop digging holes in the ground to lower the bar any lower for Obama. No matter how low you dig, he will always be lower. His leftist/socialist policies simply do not mesh well with our economy, or reality.

Tommy G – Your estimates defy the truth. 5 million were added by way of Medicaid in states not governed by republicans. 7.5 million have signed up, 3.5 million under age 26 were insured under the ACA. No one lost their health care, they were allowed to keep their junk policies, or given the option of something better You have been duped by billionaires and Fox.

The U.S economy is still on the verge of recession ! We shold dril oil and gas all over the responsible way it would make jobs And save lives and economies all over the world including ours ! And yes i know oil production is up . But its not enough when the major oil nations hold the free world hostage . We are self made prisoners to the black gold .

275 million were unaffected by ACA. The rubbish comes from republicans continual attempts to deny health care to the uninsured. Ever wonder how republicans sleep at night?

Republicans have an history of wrecking the American economy everytime they take office, and they are so dishonest that they blame their failures on the next party, and take no responsibility. Loosers always do stuff like that. Myself and community cannot wait for Nov GOD willing. any gop in my district is gone. We will not stand for fools governing.

Except that your 5 million lost policies number is bogus. Insurance companies change that many every year, and most got the offer of a different policy. That number falls well within historic norms. The number kicked around today (7.5 million enrolled) is higher than anticipated and drop the cost by $5 billion THIS YEAR, and an anticipated $105 billion next year. Add to that the 7.5 million enrolled in health insurance outside of the ACA, and this thing starts to have the ring of success on it.
Too bad you and yours are pulling for failure- not very American, really.

-couple of months ago, I told GOP a Hindu mantra holding two ears, closing two eyes, facing east on one leg recite–Benghazi, obamacare, Obama is bad. This they needs to recite twice in the morning twice in the evening.–remember facing East on one leg is utmost important here, then God appears, says "Amen".

FYI, the current count has the ACA causing 12 million more americans to be insured then before.

This includes those through the exchanges, those who qualified in the states that enacted the expanded healthcare rules of the ACA, those who are insured under their parents policies up to the age of 26 and those who lost their insurance and didn't replace it with another private insurance plan outside the exchanges.

The net change is +12 million insured americans... NET.

Obviously, numbers released this close to the date are subject to updates as additional information gets compiled... but the current "best estimate" is that 12 million more people are insured because of Obamacare. That's a pretty solid increase... about of quarter of the uninsured population is now insured. If the medicaid expansion was rolled out to the states that rejected it, you'd be looking at more like 15-16 million. Even without that estimates sugges we'd get to 25-30 million by 2016.

    Anyway... just the numbers.

Tony D – Are you still denying that Bush left our economy in the crapper? Unfunded unnecessary wars, tax cuts for the wealthy, record job loss, TARP, unfunded drug programs; none of which automatically stopped the day Obama was elected.
