A new player steps into South Carolina governor's race

Anderson, South Carolina (CNN) – South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is one of the GOP's brightest stars, a 42-year-old Indian-American, a dynamo fundraiser and a favorite of national Republicans eager to showcase diversity in their ranks.

Haley's road to re-election this November has looked smooth of late, thanks to Obamacare's unpopularity in South Carolina, a shrinking unemployment rate and the cautious approach of her Democratic challenger, state Sen. Vincent Sheheen.

    Nicki Haley should be ashamed of herself for refusing Medicaid expansion. Shame on her.

    Good lord EVERYBODY in the GOP is considered a bright star, at least that's what the MSM claims. The only prerequisite seems to be as long as they hate and are disrespectful to the POTUS they're referred to as bright stars.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    As should my own illustrious governor, Dutch. Thanks to him, a young Orlando-area woman is dead and her three children are orphans. The poor wretch dropped dead of a documented heart condition inside the home of a couple to whom she was trying to sell a vaccume cleaner because she was unable to afford her medications and made too little money to qualify for Medicaid, although she would have qualified for subsidies had governor medicaid thief done the right thing. Now the taxpayers are responsible for the welfare of those children in the form of survivor benefits, etc. until they're 18, which is going to cost us exponentially more than the paltry sum expanding medicaid would have cost. Given the option, I think the kids would have preferred to have their mom.

    It doesn't take much to be a rising GOP star these days does it? Add a little hate everything Obama and pour a lot of Obamacare is bad and uneducated poor people gobble it up!

    is she as bright as Palin was. Can she see Russia from her porch. Does she hate ACA. Than she is a young bright star to the GOP. Wait until she opens her mouth than you see how bright she really is. This will be the last time the GOP can use ACA to fight with in a election. Does America want to hear any new ideas from the GOP at all. We will see the GOP in 2024 this 2016 election is over already if they can not find anything else than ACA to run against the democrats. After 2016 election the GOP will wander what happened why did we loose Dah.

    Well Shucks Fire,
    Gov. Haley should be ashamed of herself for refusing to re-invent the old Soviet Union. Now here, here! We can't have none of that !!! Hope you have a good retirement pan.
