With the decisions lately reached by SCOTUS, I wonder if my copy of the constitution is the same as theirs?

--racial criteria in college admissions? Pathetic. Do they know they are NOT in stone-age?

WOW !!! Six to two? This looks like a Bi Partisan vote at the SCOTUS on a very interesting case. I would have liked to know who on the left voted in the majority and their reasons. Alas, CNN and the other liberal media won't delve into that.

"In a 6-2 vote, the court ruled a lower court did not have the authority to set aside the law."

In other words, it was decided on procedural grounds, not on the merits of affirmative action etc. Folks from both sides of the issue would do well to recognize that distinction before starting any misplaced gloating or raging.

That being said, Sotomayor's dissent raises seriously good points to be aware of moving forward.

And minority admission in Universities has dropped drastically. So sad. AA just tried to level the playing field. James Crow Jr. Esquire. Within the next 10 years blacks won't have any rights. Which is right where many want us to be.

Gurgyl. I'm not sure if you're aware of the US History or not. AA was created to give intelligent minorities that weren't wealthy a chance to succeed to. However the GOP paid a black man to go state to state getting it banned. And it worked. Black enrollment in Universities has plummeted.

Well, that's one of the few good decisions from the court, in recent years. One of the VERY few.
