Open mouth, insert foot for claiming percentage drop in numbers is upwards mobility. Too many have dropped out to be crowing about roaring comeback. Everyone knows these numbers are not showing the true state of employment. Don't insult our intelligence.

    Eh,
You can fool some of the people all of the time and you can fool all of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. The liberals want to do great things, they just want to do it with other people's money. The facts and figures don't give any good news to speak of. After nearly 6 years official unemployment figures have improved, real figures are a different story. If the 17.6 Trillion Dollar Federal debt was coming down instead of going up you could give Obama Credit. Sorry but no credit.

  7. ThinkAgain - Don't like Congress? Get rid of the repub/tea bag majority.

@HenryMiller; "Of course the Obama administration deserves no credit for falling unemployment!. It's due to the policies of this administration that's this recovery is taking so long."

A bigger lie was never spoken. The repub/tea bags have done everything they can to obstruct President Obama's agenda – including not accepting federal money to expand Medicare at the state level, which would help so many people who are struggling to get by.

The kicker is the gop/tea bags' claim of moral and spiritual superiority – when none of them would recognize Jesus if he came up to them on the street and shook their hand.

Although, he'd probably just look at them sadly, shake his head and then get on to helping the truly less fortunate (hint: it's not the "persecuted" whiny wealthy).

Give Obama all of the credit, because the percentage that they're discussing is a LIE. We have hit a record number of people not working (as per CBS) which brings our effective unemployment rate is apparently over 17%. We also have a record number of people on welfare, etc...but the administration presents the numbers using whatever fuzzy math can make them look 'productive', and you chumps take the bait without a question of the actual number. You blind fools make me mad, and the overall country sick with your ignorance.

Reading a few of the moronic posts here it should become very clear that President Obama gets credit for nothing unless it is another conspiracy campaign orchestrated by the right. Got news for you folks, with the horrid mess that the right wing resident left this country in, I don't believe the man or woman has been born yet that could fix it in twenty years. Oh maybe one, and they crucified him. Time to recognize these people for what they are, Liars.

Media states unemployment at 6.3% but the REAL unemployment is 12.3% for there are 6% not even looking for work and then there are those who have part-time jobs and need full time jobs. All of this is what you can thank the President and this administration for, a NANNY society. Dependence on the government to provide.

It is human nature. When things go wrong, they jump to the person incharge, when they go right, suddenly everyone becomes, deaf, blind and don't care. Republicans know to apply this nature very well.

" December 2008, the number of unemployed persons increased by 632,000 to 11.1 million and the un- employment rate rose to 7.2 percent."

This is the mess this country was left with after 8 yrs. of G-Dub. Thank you President Obama for keeping us moving for despite constant obstructions. Your story is the story of African Americans everywhere.....success in the face of hostility from our enemies.
