Clinton's handling of Boko Haram questioned

Washington (CNN) - Hindsight is 20/20, they say, but some people may need backwards-looking glasses in debating whether the State Department under Hillary Clinton erred two years ago by not designating Boko Haram a terrorist group.

The question arose Thursday as part of the international focus on last month's abduction of more than 200 schoolgirls by the jihadist group in northeast Nigeria that threatens to sell them into slavery.

Right. Because, you know, if we had called them "terrorists" then 270 little girls wouldn't have been abducted? This is RWNJ smear-sleeze is what this is. What a complete and utter farce.

And really CNN? You're now regurgitating Daily Beast tabloid journalism second-hand...not to mention that it was based solely on an anonymous maybe-they-exist-maybe-they-don't source's OPINIONS and recognition that something something Benghazi and Boko Haram both start with "B" so "isn't this an opportune time to try to hype up a new superficial nontroversy that touches on similar subjects?" You've stepped through the freekin looking glass and there's no way back. It's more "black hole journalism" and you know it.

Totally ridiculous story. New conspiracy theory in the making. Any time a story starts out "an anonymous person", hang it up and forget it. That translates to "we don't want to get caught in the middle of another lie but........." GOTP why not do your jobs instead of inventing fairy tales that end up costing tax payers millions.

"Such attacks mimicked GOP tactics during Obama's 2012 re-election campaign, when Republican nominee Mitt Romney criticized the administration's response to the Benghazi attack shortly after it occurred."

In other words, they're as much of a reality rewrite as when Mittens needed to be corrected on national television during the presidential election debates for LYING and saying the Obama never failed to call Benghazi terrorism. But you see, CNN doesn't want to talk about that, because that points out just how desperate and loosely connected to reality the GOP/Teatrolls' talking points are on the subject of Benghazi and now this. So instead, CNN gives you a sentence that glosses over all of that and makes it sound like the GOP/Teatrolls might be talking something legitimate here. Hint: They're not.

Another extremist republican attempt to smear any person who could potentially run a campaign against them. Next Rep. Issa will waste millions more taxpayer dollars on one of his witch hunts that produce nothing but hot air!

So next time I am robbed, I will stop the next policeman I see and demand to know why they didn't take that particular shady character out of 1000 off the street who would end up robbing me someday.

""A number of factors have been attributed to fueling Boko Haram's violence and fanaticism, including a feeling of alienation from the wealthier, Christian, oil-producing southern Nigeria; pervasive poverty; rampant government corruption; heavy-handed security measures...."

Wow... no wonder the neo cons want the group designated as a terrorist... the factors which created them sounds like the neo con dreams- AKA- the bush years... the rich christians getting wealthy off oil while the rest of the country was in poverty and the government was ate up with corruption and used heavy handed security measures.

Yep. That's the bush years I managed to survive and I hated them too...

Democrats could care less about national security and the well being of Americans abroad. Just look at Benghazi for proof.

And just supposing they had been placed on our little Terrorist list two years ago..... that would have prevented this kidnapping how? Oh and by the way, just who were these "Congressmen" who made calls to the State Dept, names please, and dates they called. Or were they anonymous also? This story is a text book example of "Yellow Journalism".

Soooo, CNN finally posted this story. I am proud of you for a change. Here is one instance where CNN was not playing the lame lapdog role as PR Rep for the DNC.

Amazing how so many people can ignore the truth because it involves someone they don't want to hear anything bad about. Fact is, Hillary worked very hard to keep Boko Haram from being on ANY terrorist list. Sorry for those who are upset by the truth, but it's easily verified.

Gotta love all the Hillary sock puppets. How many books does she have to sell in order to pay them to post comments on all the political websites? They remind me of officer Barbrady on "South Park"–"Move along, nothing to see here" (as there's some disaster happening in the background). Of course, they have a lot of experience at obfuscation, what with all the scandals when Slick Willie was prez.
