Obama makes new pitch for immigration reform

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama renewed his push on Tuesday for House Republicans to approve most of what exists in the Senate-passed version of comprehensive immigration reform. But he signaled a willingness to compromise.

At an event with law enforcement officials, Obama said he was "not hell-bent" on seeing every word from the Senate version in any immigration bill that might reach his desk.

Rove criticized for Clinton 'brain injury' suggestion

(CNN) - Karl Rove's suggestion that Hillary Clinton suffers from a brain injury is coming under attack.

Rove, the mastermind behind George W. Bush's two presidential election victories, appeared at a conference last Thursday, where he discussed a 2012 incident that sent the then-secretary of state to the hospital, according to the New York Post's Page Six, the newspaper's well-known gossip column.

Christie spokesman to testify before investigative panel

(CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s chief spokesman is due to testify on Tuesday before a legislative committee investigating a political scandal that has upended the Republican’s administration.

Michael Drewniak, who is appearing under subpoena, has kept a low profile since the scandal around traffic jams last September at the foot of the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee broke.
