At Yale, John Kerry knocks Donald Sterling

(CNN) – Secretary of State John Kerry slammed Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling in address to graduates at Yale University on Sunday.

"You are graduating today as the most diverse class in Yale's long history," he said. "Or as they call it in the NBA, Donald Sterling's worst nightmare."

Kerry made his remarks as the featured speaker at Yale's Class Day exercises during commencement weekend.

His joke comes after Sterling repeatedly denied he is a racist in an exclusive interview with CNN's "AC 360" last week, despite remarks made in a private conversation with his friend V. Stiviano that were released online.

Isn't it ironic that the person who represents American values abroad has jumped totally on the PC bandwagon waging war against privacy and free speech which are at the heart of liberty, our nations most sacred founding value.

Thought Kerry was Secretary of State not NBA commissioner. Hey Kerry Assad is using Chemical weapons on civilians again , Putin is carving up the Ukraine, The Iranians are going Nuclear . North Korea may launch another missile . Maybe if you concentrated on your job instead of the NBA maybe you would have some successes to point to.

Kerry has to be one of the worst any college kid needs to hear. He is a self proclaimed hero, probably closer to being a coward not to mention the typical left wing liar.

90% of the Yale class that he was speaking to had family incomes greater than 150K . What is so diverse about that.

You are graduating today to accept Communism and Socialism and you must give your earned income to the Federal reserve and live happily ever after being congratulated for not supporting prospernomics and allowing others to dominate your thinking and will forever be dependent on others. You wasted your tuition as everybody knows you will never pay it back! Truth hurts. Also, you are commanded to never ever have religion. The Democratic national Communist agenda.

Kerry is talking about diversity while making fun of a guy who was banned because his boss disagrees with his views and speech. How ironic!

Yeah, because Herman Munster of the State Department has all those pesky international issues all screwed up, he's got to pull an Obama and stick his meddling nose into something he has NO business in, and likely knows nothing about, since it's not wind surfing!

Kerry simply shows that he supports the dictator's position, of allowing no one in America, to have a different opinion from Obama.

like John Kerry knows about diversity, Martha's Vineyard, Boston Commons , Yacht an private planes, why do these liberal elitists think they are the common man,? they never lived in the hood and never will. the only minorities they know are the one they hire to clean their mansions

Wow, John Kerry who called Israel an Apartheid state is in no position or standing to say anything about Donald Sterling. What Kerry said was anti-semetic. He should resign before he is fired. He has fouled up everything in the Ukraine and the Middle East. We call him Jug head.

Morons. The issue here is not free speech or political correctness. The issue is whether a stone cold bigot like Sterling is morally fit to own an NBA franchise. And the answer is no. He's still free to act like the idiot he is and hold his racist views, just like Carl Rove is free to lie about Hillary Clinton's health, and the sheriff in New England can use the n-word about the President, and some dope in Arizona can say the Democrats are the ones doing mass shootings. Do I have to keep going?

Hahaha. I remember when upper-level government figures concentrated on upper-level government issues rather than pop culture and TMZ-style reports.

Stop using this 80 year old guy that was trying to talk tough to get a ding dong to sleep with him as the poster child for racism. There are far worse in society that may not be as easy a target .

I don't understand why people, especially conservative republicans, utter HATE speech and hide behind the 1st Amendment. The 1st Amendment prohibits the government from making laws that infringe on freedom of speech, but does not in any way, prohibits the citizenry from pointing out the irresponsible utterances or HATE speech made by individuals. In the case of Donald Tokowitz, the guy was plain stupid for uttering such malicious verses to a girlfriend who happens to be from the race Tokowitz targeted. Of course it was a private conversation, but the moment everybody heard what happened, the incident became a public issue. In addition, NBA is not government, and it will deal with Tokowitz according to the NBA constitution.
