George W. Bush has knee replacement surgery

(CNN) - Former President George W. Bush is back at home in Dallas, following partial knee replacement surgery Saturday in Chicago.

Bush spokesman Freddy Ford told CNN that the former president "had a successful partial knee replacement Saturday and came back to Dallas Monday."

Ford added that it was not a new injury and that Bush was "up walking around and even went up and down a flight of stairs just a couple hours after the procedure."

Bush, 67, remains active and regularly rides his bike. Earlier this month he led a physically demanding bike ride at his ranch near Crawford, Texas, to honor military members wounded in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Last August, the former president had a stent placed in his heart after a blockage was discovered in an artery.

    yada yada yada yada yada yada yada yada. Yes, I am speaking of those who dishonor the president who served the U.S.A. during one of our most difficult times in history. Very tired of hearing your stuff.

    Hopefully, he'll be able to walk into The Hague on his own for his War Crimes Trial. I'd hate for his 'medical deficiency' to influence an International Jury. He is a simple man who committed complex crimes. If we can keep him confined to a gated community outside of Houston, that's kind of like jail… But not the one he deserves. The sad truth is, that once Tried and Convicted, this War Criminal would have no idea what he did. The small man who impersonated a commander in chief screwed Soldiers six ways from Sunday, screwed taxpayers out of their retirement and rewarded the special interests that funded his electoral mischief with no bid contracts.

    If you are a Working Class American, George Walker Bush buggered you with a stick the size of Nebraska!

    I wonder why he had to go to Chicago to have knee surgery? I thought doctors were going to TX in droves b/c of lower malpractice insurance

    Dear G.W., we're still cleaning up after your hateful gay marriage bans. Special thanks to you and your nasty family for not contributing in any way to the clean up. Your brother, Jeb, is a real nasty bigot too. He should have gone to jail with Anthony Verdugo in 2002.

    Great job too on the Florida housing collapse that began the moment Jeb left office in 2006. We're still digging out of that mess. What a life it was, to earn $25k annually, and be offered a .5 million dollar mortgage with zero money down, interest payments kicked in 5 years after inception of loan. Your family is truly awful.

    I do sympathize for the pain you'll endure while your knee heals, but your family is genuinely awful.

    @willyshock –

    Name the exact crime he committed.

    I know it's difficult for you liberal sheep out there, but please be specific. List the specific criminal activities for which George Walker Bush is guilty and should be sentenced to prison time.

    I can't wait to hear your probably-educated list.

    @Quest

    Dear comically misinformed and probably-illiterate liberal drone Quest,

    Please use the internet search tool of your convenience and look up which president signed the Defense of Marriage Act (nicknamed "DOMA") into law.

    Oh, I forgot to mention... brace yourself for the shock. You're not going to want to do that search standing up.

  14. Hope he finds recovery as easily as he found the WMD in Iraq

    In short – hope he suffers.

    TOVARISCHS! W has been out of office for over five years. Isn't it about time that you get over your Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS)? It is well past time for you to pull up your "big-boy" pants and start accepting responsibility (a forbidden word for the komrade left) for putting a pathetic little community organizer into the White House.

    Here had better get down on that knee and pray for forgiveness for the over FOUR THOUSAND US personnel who died in Iraq because of his literally hundreds of lies. The fact that he has never been charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity is a colossal miscarriage of justice.

    I'm starting to wonder if your entire post was satire? It would make for brilliant sarcasm if that were the case.

    Just in case, you know which party and which president forced banks to offer risky loans to low-qualified applicants, right? Hint: It was during the late 90's.

    I hope it hurts like hell. He deserves to suffer for all of the pain and suffering he has caused. No amount of pain he has will come close to equaling the grief he caused to our soldiers, their families and thousands of innocent Iraqi's. Not to mention... lying us into the war, asleep at the wheel for 9/11, squandering the surplus (and created a deficit), politicizing government, hiring a horse expert to run FEMA, flyby over New Orleans, torture, Valerie Plame, pulling out of Kyoto, never attended a soldiers funeral (but he'll ride he's bike for them), cut veterans healthcare, cut Pell grants, cut taxes for the wealthy, No Child Left behind, John Roberts and Samuel Alito, most vacation time of any US President, shot down stem cell research, Don Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney, John Bolton, signing statements, and let's see... what am I forgetting... oh yeah, his policies plunged us into the biggest depression since the 1930's. Get well soon... not.
