'War on women' rhetoric heats up in Michigan state politics

(CNN) - The political back-and-forth over the recurrent "war on women" line is playing out again in Michigan politics.

A picture showing a trio of male GOP state representatives pretending to read women's fashion magazine has predictably caused a stir among Michigan Democrats.

What Clinton’s book may tell us about 2016

Washington (CNN) - In her much-anticipated new book, Hillary Clinton distances herself from President Barack Obama, and even from herself. In the process, she seems to come across as both a hawk and a dove.

In "Hard Choices," Clinton appears to try and make sure that a 2002 Senate vote that damaged her 2008 bid for the Democratic presidential nomination doesn't come back to bite her again if she decides to run for the White House in 2016.

Rand Paul: Kentucky law won't stop him from dual runs in 2016

(CNN) - Rand Paul said the Kentucky law that prohibits candidates from appearing more than once on a ballot won’t stop him from running for president and his Senate seat in 2016, if he chooses to make a White House bid.

“We do think about it, but ultimately it's not something that will probably deter the process, if we make a decision," the Republican senator told the Associated Press on Thursday.
