Kicking off book tour, Hillary Clinton talks Monica, Benghazi and her record

(CNN) – Hillary Clinton kicked off her "Hard Choices" book tour on Monday by doing what most high-profile politicians considering a presidential run do: Sit down for a sweeping interview to talk about well known issues - tenure, past achievements, presidential aspirations - and some issues that haven't been addressed in years.

Clinton honed what is likely to be her book tour message in the interview with ABC, one of a thoughtful diplomat who is prepared to re-introduce herself to voters, especially women.

As far as Monica goes Hil. Clinton would do best to keep her trap shut. If she goes around slamming a young intern who was preyed upon by her husband then she only casts a negative light on herself. Benghazi, she`ll throw the Obama admin under the bus on that one as soon as it gets close to election time.

I think you would be surprised how she could "keep her trap shut" about Monica and Benghazi if the tin foil hats stopped re-re-re-re-re-asking her to say something about those subjects by bringing them up. But I know that might be a little scary because then she can talk about moving the country on to the next progressive step and exposing failed conservative obstruction.

"ask Phillip P. Puckett in VA, how GOP bribed"

Indeed, Gurgyl...altho it involves a corrupt Dem as well. The GOPTeatrolls in VA offered a Dem state Senator a cushy job on the tobacco board and his daughter a spot on the judgeship track if he would resign from the state Senate, thereby giving the GOP the majority so they could block the Medicaid expansion under the ACA. It stinks to high heaven of corruption all around and now that people are getting wind of it, the tobacco board stopped their meetings where they were supposed to give him the job, so the selfish idiot who resigned is (predictably) getting shafted. The worst part is that he represented a district that would have very much benefited from the Medicaid expansion.

CNN isn't talking about it because it's a great example of just how corrupt and off the deep end the GOP/Teatrolls have gone in their quest for the power and what spineless self-serving jackholes some Dems can be. I smell state and federal investigations incoming. Ah well...back to CNN desperately trying to manufacture their 2016 horse race narrative....

"Put up a news article and it bombs."

Too true. Gone are the days when I'd sip my morning coffee in the break room at work reading the newspaper. We've (or me at least) have become too lazy.

I'm also finding that howling at the newspaper or howling at the TV screen makes little difference in the long run. This weekend my husband and I actually DID read the newspaper together at a little diner near our cabin up north.

The memories of the way it was ... before the intertubes (which thankfully I do get away from up north).
