Major super PAC touts tiny fundraising haul

Washington (CNN) - You don't see this every day.

Priorities USA, the leading Democratic super PAC that supported President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election, and which is planning to back Hillary Clinton in the 2016 campaign if the former secretary of state runs for the White House again, announced that it raised just $1,845 over the past three months.

While outside groups and campaigns often highlight their impressive fundraising hauls, for Priorities, less is more.

That's because the organization is making good on its pledge not to compete with Democratic fundraising efforts for this year's midterm elections, after criticism that if Priorities and other groups started fundraising in 2014 for the next race for the White House, it would hurt the party's efforts in this year's Senate, House and gubernatorial elections.

Besides announcing their almost non-existent fundraising in the second quarter, Priorities also highlighted Tuesday that its given out more than $1 million in disbursements, including investing $250,000 each to the House Majority PAC and the Senate Majority PAC, the two leading Democratic outside groups backing party candidates in House and Senate elections. It also contributed $100,000 to the Missouri Early Voting Fund.

"Priorities USA Action continues to focus our efforts on supporting Democrats in 2014," said Priorities spokesman Peter Kauffmann, in a statement.

The group also reported that it has $1.48 million cash on hand.

Goodness, CNN. Too, too funny (in a silly kind of way). Michele Bachmann states Hillary should be worried that Elizabeth Warren might give her a run for the money and here you folks are telling us that Ms. Warren has managed a nice bit of campaign dollars, and oh by the way, Priorities (who is supporting Hillary) managed a "tiny" fundraising haul, because, well .... "you don't see this everyday".

Here's a well kept media secret: you don't see true journalism every day either. Hypocritical self-made nontroversy? Yes. Journalism, though? A thing of the past.

Joe Biden should run for President with Elizabeth Warren as his Vice Presidential running mate. Hillary Clinton is not presidential material. The only wives that were or are presidential are Eleanor Roosevelt and Michelle Obama.

Followed immediately by Teatrolls who didn't read the article opining that the small fundraising number is evidence of "we the people" are rejecting the Dems, "soshulizm," etc.

They're becoming more pathetic every single day. Btw...

What happened to summer?? It went from winter to Spring to Fall in like 2-1/2 months. It's barely 70 here today....😳😳

We spent two days fishing off the dock wearing turtlenecks and sweatshirts over the weekend. Couldn't get the boat out because the wakes would have decked us before we got off the shoreline.

I've got a bad feeling about the up and coming winter ... !

To be followed by polling wherein we are told that GOPerville has the momentum. The media has been saturating the airwaves with this tripe since God only knows how long now: at least 6 years, anyway.

😍😍😍 Those crazy science deniers. But seriously our weather in MI has definitely made a drastic change over the past several years. In March of 2012 we had record breaking temps between 85 & 95. In March!!! This is MI, we've never had weather like that. Then this past winter which was the worst since they started keeping track. Record breaking snowfall and record breaking below freezing temps. I'm no expert but something's afoot.....😙😙 And now in July, our hottest month, it's barely 70.

I am a Ms.Clinton fan but Warren is an intelligent progressive politician with clear solutions. I could vote for either. The country needs to keep moving forward.

This isn't climate change. it's the Earth correcting itself, just as it always has for the past 6000 years.

Ayup. A few years ago we replaced the decades old windows in the cabin because up north in July usually brought us miserable heat and humidity. The thought behind the new windows was to allow in the more cool lake shore breeze. Lovely as those windows are ... that lake shore breeze isn't what it used to be ... and more often that not, those windows remain closed at night.

Dress warm and have fun !

Oh I plan to. The last time I was up there in March 2012 and it was 89 almost everyday. Now it's July and we're barely topping 70. So I had to pack much more. I have warm clothes and plenty of pairs of jeans and long sleeve t-shirts. Though I'll probably be so full of alcohol I won't even feel it. It's our BFF annual girls weekend. I have several friends that I've had since prior to starting preschool and we get together one weekend in July! 😍😍😍😍 I'm really looking forward to it.
A friendship that has lasted almost a half century.....
    Rudy, you're crazy!!!😍😍

It would be nice if there were not a need for groups to raise money for politics or helping candidate running for election. If there could be more a way to let everyone know who is running and what they stand for which would hopefully get everyone to vote.

I know, right? I just ordered a tank of gas for up north. Any bets on how long it lasts this winter?

Agreed, however with the Citizens United ruling, there's a snowballs chance in hell of that happening. It's just going to get worse.
