George W. Bush's stand-in? Hillary Clinton

(CNN) – After former President George W. Bush had to cancel an upcoming speech at a conference because of knee surgery, Hillary Clinton has agreed to speak instead.

Politico's Maggie Haberman, who's also a political analyst for CNN, reports that Clinton will speak at the Ameriprise Financial conference in Boston next week as Bush recovers from a second partial knee replacement surgey he had last weekend in Chicago. He had surgery on this other knee in May.

Clinton has been active on the paid speaking circuit since she stepped down from her post as secretary of state last year and as she considers a 2016 presidential bid.

"You kind of get the impression that Hillary Clinton will talk to any audience that is willing to hear from her at this point. It doesn't matter if it's universities, insurance groups, doctors. She'll talk to anybody right now," Julie Pace of the Associated Press said Thursday on CNN's "Inside Politics" with John King.

Being that the Clinton`s and the Bush family are close this isn`t suprising at all. The only reason that Clinton has yet to announce she is running for potus is because everyone will jump Obama`s ship and head to Clintons.

The recent GOP uproar over Hillary's speaking fees, is another example of GOP hypocrisy. Less than 3 months after leaving office Ronald Reagan went to Japan and was paid by a Japanese trading company $2.1 Million for three 45 minute speeches. Was this a payoff for selling out the American worker.

i guess hillary just wants to suck up as many millions as she can as fast as she can. i guess she doesn't like being poor and broke. maybe she should donate one or two of these fees to help care for and feed all the illegals she and her fellow democrats want to keep in the country?

And I am all for this. Rake in the money Hillary, talk, talk, talk until you can't talk any more and your arms are full of cash. because the more you talk, the lower you drop in the polls and that arm full of cash, well that just proves how much of a hypocrite you are when you talk about income equality, etc.

GOP: Hillary is getting a speaking engagement!? Outrageous! We of course wish President Bush well in his recovery and look forward to seeing him out on the lecture circuit.

This is why no one takes the GOP seriously anymore.

So what if they did? It's what they would be expected to do. Nice try, though. You get a free spin.

What is striking is the long list of young, energetic Republican candidates with a lot of good experience and ideas.

And then there are the two Democrat Dinosaurs, Biden and Clinton. One considered by many to be a clown show and the other running just to be the first woman to hold the office, as if we haven't learned our lesson about voting for somebody just because it would be a novelty. Both are rejected Democrat candidates. I am sure the media will portray them both as old white people right? Or in Hillary's case, rich old white people.

Well, yes. Generally this is what is expected of potential candidates running for President of the United States of America. It used to be termed "reaching out to ALL voters".

Apparently outreach is now to be shunned and mocked?

It's ok if you're a republican. IOKIYAR in short.

Seriously though Kudos for managing to get that fact past the right wing mods that won't allow anyone to say anything against St. Ronnie.....😊

As opposed to republicant candidates who refuse to talk to or come clean to any group which they cannot either fool, rob, or scare. No sense in talking to regular American folks, especially any with intelliegence or (gulp) questions!

GOP and TP ideas boil down to a few simple philosophies. Take your choice:
    – remove all corporate controls and responsibility & assume corporate nannies will take care of workers (Walmart!!)
    – establish a Christian Theocracy with moral laws and assume everyone is the same religion
    – de-evolve into the gun-totin' wild west and give people "freedom" to shoot, abuse, steal, poison nature & discriminate at will

besides, she isn't an announced candidate. you and rudy can't seem to tell the difference. yesterday he was in here claiming hillary clinton couldn't go to the progressive dingbat conference because it would be considered cooperating with a pac. well she is a private citizen right? so that assertion was the usual rudy rubbish.

It isn't just children storming the border. Many of the children are accompanied by adults and then there are just adults. Maybe you should take a moment to come up to speed on what is going on there?

I am always amazed at the way right wing conspiracies spin off into space without regard for what we call reality:
    – children entering the US illegally
    – Dems made the children enter the US
    – Dems figured out a way to have them vote and enter the US
    – Dems are using UFO's to fly in illegal children to vote
    – Demd stole UFO's from the space aliens for the Illuminati to use children from other countries to vote in an evil empire
