Rubio calls Clinton 'a 20th century candidate'

(CNN) - Marco Rubio's apparently not so concerned if Hillary Clinton decides to make another run for the White House.

"I just think she's a 20th century candidate," the first-term senator from Florida and potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate told NPR.

"I think she does not offer an agenda for moving America forward in the 21st century, at least not up till now," Rubio said, in an interview with "Morning Edition" that posted early Tuesday.

"The truth of the matter is she was the secretary of state during an administration that has had virtually no successes on foreign policy," Rubio added.

This is far from the first time Rubio's been critical of Clinton's tenure as America's top diplomat.

"First, I think she's going to be asked to account for her time as secretary of state and I don't think it's the sterling success people think it is. Quite frankly, much of the foreign policy failures we see in place today began when she ran the Department of State," Rubio told CNN's Wolf Blitzer in an interview in February on "The Situation Room."

"Should she decide to run for president, Hillary Clinton would present a forward-thinking agenda, one that presents new, bold ideas to keep our country moving in the right direction. With his history supporting the Tea Party’s outdated, regressive policies, Senator Rubio is the one stuck in the stone ages. This is nothing but a desperate attempt by him to divert from his failed legislative record," Adrienne Elrod, communications director at the pro-Clinton rapid response shop Correct The Record, told CNN.

Clinton has said she'll decide on running for the White House by the end of this year or early next year. Rubio, who's also up for re-election to the Senate in 2016, said in the NPR interview that he'd make up his mind by early 2015.

"There's a lot of work to be done if you're going to run for president, or if you're going to run for re-election in a state as big as Florida," Rubio added.

Obama's policies are right out of the 1930s and FDR. WPA projects....... .... ...

Good. Those policies saved the country from the right wing's economic policies of the 1920s. If you have forgotten how that decade of unrestrained capitalism ended, there was a rerun back in 2008. Didn't we build a few major public infrastructure projects in the 1930s? Projects that not only helped rebuild the nation's economy, but also sustained it once it recovered by providing a stronger backbone for it to grow on?

Very, thank you. Dock ... book ... lemonade ... sunglasses ... sunscreen.

    Sunglasses...sunscreen...gee, that sounds like summer.
Something very unusual is happenning her ein Maryland (at least). We've been waking up everyday for the past 3 weeks at least, not to sunshine but to cloudy skies.
They tend to stay cloudy, and when the sun does come out, somewhere mid-morning, it is to skies loaded with rain clouds.
The rain that we've been getting is somewhat on the severe side, with the sun bursting through afterwards.
I tell you my friend it reminds me a lot of the tropical storms we get back home in D.R., but so atypical of this part of the country.
    Nope. No climate change here...

Obama's policies are right out of the 1930s and FDR. WPA projects. Obama and Hillary Clinton have reset Russian relations back to the cold war days of the 1950s. Hilary Clinton is a Grandma stuck in the 1990s. Joe Biden? Not sure what time period he is stuck in as he is not even on this planet most of the time.

yeah, Funny about that. FDR's policies saved our nation from the last great Republican depression of 1929-, and although far, far smaller in scope, they worked again after the Bush Crash of '08. That's called learning from and using history.

This is the problem with liberals and lefties. They are so busy rewriting history to sell their lies they fail to remember what actually happened. WWII and all the jobs it created pulled the USA out of the Depression. FDR's policies did zilch over many, many years.

And all of Obama's dumb WPA ideas? Same thing. Trillion dollars of stimulus, cash for clunkers, printing money nonstop, green energy boondoggles, you name it. Still record unemployment for record time with almost no economic growth while running up the debt another $8 TRILLION. Only a dunce would consider this success.

Marco Rubio on modern scientific thinking (famous GQ intervier):
"Whether the Earth was created in 7 days, or 7 actual eras, I'm not sure we'll ever be able to answer that. It's one of the great mysteries."
It is not a mystery. People in the current century Google it. The Earth is 4.54 ± 0.05 billion years old.

By jove this poor chap has lost his marbles. He's proposing another world war to improve the global economy! He has also forgotten that Pres. Obama's predecessor began with a $300 billion annual surplus, and handed off an economy that was losing 750,000 jobs per month, markets under 7000, a GDP running around minus 7%, and an annual deficit of $1.5 trillion. I'd have to say that we've done pretty good only add 7 Trillion in debt so far, and the annual deficit has been cut more than half, to almost a third.

She's a far left career politician that defended Walmart at one time in the private sector. One could make a strong case she has already risen to the level of incompetence (Benghazi) and that her husband should not be trusted again in the Whitehouse. Thanks for your service, we can do better.

Marco Rubio is keeping secret his immigration and healthcare ideas till after the election .
And he has other great ideas he will enlighten us with someday when the time is right .
-not like the democratic candidates, who tell us exactly what THEY want to do, AMNESTY for all, open borders, wealth redistribution, government dependency.

Ha, ha, ha... Careful folks.. SHE might even vote! Great Lizzie- after all you have a right NOT to know what a candidate stands for. Feel free to bury your head in the sand, put your fingers in your ears and just pull the lever with the [R]. After all, they're counting on people like you....

Of course Rubio's statements beg the question if the Republicans are so convinced Hillary Clinton is an inferior candidate, why are they so obsessed with bashing her? It would seem to me if the Democrats were hell-bent on nominating such a horrible candidate for 2016, it would surely mean an easy win for whomever the Republican candidate was. So why not just shut up and let the Democrats blow the 2016 Presidential election? I think the real answer is the opposite of what Rubio is saying - Republicans fear Hillary and will do anything to get someone else as the Democratic candidate.

    HELLOOOOOO?
    Excuse-me.
Liberals and lefties are the ones 'trying to rewrite history to sell their lies'?
FACT: 1929 saw the Crashing of the US Economy, and for the whole duration of the 30's the USA rebuilt itself, which allowed the country to fare that well in the WWII.
You are confusing the consequence with the cause, WITHOUT the rebuild of the economy through the 30's could the USA had been able to fight as it happened?
Seriously, could the USA with the economy still in the state Herbert Hoover left it had managed to fight for jusat half a year in the Pacific Theater of war alone?

Well, the Progressives at their NutRotNation Convention sure liked Elizabeth Warren better than Hillary Clinton and consider her inferior as well. And as we all know, the far left Progressives are in control of the Democrat Party. It is how Obama clobbered Hillary in 2008. They will throw Hillary under the bus again in 2016 if she runs.
