Sonia Sotomayor sets kids upon Hillary Clinton

(CNN) – It was a mad dash to hug Hillary Clinton.

Toward the end of an event Friday at the Bronx Children’s Museum, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor set dozens of kids upon the former secretary of state, urging them to hug her and other leaders who attended.

But first, Sotomayor got the children fired up.

"I need for you to do something right now," she said, holding a microphone and standing among a hoard of kids wearing bright green t-shirts. "I need for you to jump up and down and say thank you for caring for me!"

"On the count of three," she continued.

But it was too late. The kids, eager to take any chance to jump, had already stood up and started enthusiastically bouncing off the ground, some with their hands waving wildly in the air.

After a few seconds - some of them still hopping - Sotomayor gave them another task.

"I'm going to scare all of these important people," she said, pointing to Clinton and a few adults who were sitting just feet away on the front row of the auditorium. "I want a bunch of you to go to each of them and hug them and say thank you."

Unsure if it was really OK, the kids hesitated for a second, then quickly swarmed together and bee-lined for the former first lady.

After about 20 seconds of what had clearly become overwhelming excitement, Sotomayor injected. "Alright, don't go crazy."

"Alright, you've got to be careful," she added, this time her voice a little louder.

Suddenly the Supreme Court justice found herself dealing with crowd control.

"C'mon back. C'mon back. C'mon back guys. Come sit," she said.

Smiling the whole time, Clinton tried to hug, pat heads, or pat the backs of the mass of children inching towards her.

Sotomayor continued to give more instructions to "come sit down", "face the screen," and "shhhh." Other adults stepped in to help get the children seated.

And about two minutes after the excitement started, Clinton and the kids were sitting back down, and Sotomayor's court was no longer out of order.

Its disgusting when people use children to try and sell something thats obviously not wanted..! Wonder if they actualy spoke english? And where were the PARENTS of these children? Or the resposable guardian if a school outing? Or was it staged publicity like it sounds?? The latter is most likely. Retro kissing babies from the 50s stuff. Lame then.. Lamer now..

But, since I realize that "Atlas Shrugged" is a work of fiction, and was written by an avid admirer of Karl Marx. Her fans do not seem to realize what inspired the book, nor do they realize that the fantasy world described in the book was the ultimate vision of imperial capitalism, to which Marx so envied in the West. You see, Marx was a big fan of the British Empire, and the globe spanning empire that they had created. He wanted his own.
    ---------–
I will be surprised if CNN allows this to be posted, but here goes.
You have obviously, either not read the book, or failed to comprehend what you read. The society in the book was not the "ultimate vision of imperial capitalism." It was more about how liberal/socialist ideals can/will destroy a capitalist society/country. No one company is allowed to make more profit than another company, even if one company produces less goods at an inferior quality. That is a very simplistic explanation but that is the gist. If you had actually read the book, you would think that it is being used as a blueprint for the destruction of this country, as many of the policies implemented by this administration and policies this administration wishes to implement are right out of the book. They led to the fall of the capitalist society in the book.

So full of hate. I'm not a supporter of Hillary, but I can read this article and see from it that the kids just had an experience they will never forget. They will remember it FONDLY.

And you hate-mangers have to use it to spew your vile. And yeah, sometimes, some of the lefties are nearly as bad, when someone doesn't totally agree with their King Obama.

The Justice is supposed to be apolitical as justice is blind. If, and it's a big "if", that Clinton becomes President, then Sotomayer should recuse herself from all cases. This is not a Democrat, Republican Libertarian or any political issue, she should know better. Total lack of respect for the position she holds on the SCOTUS.

So a Supreme Court Justice is going to endorse a person for President? Maybe the conservatives were correct when they labeled her as an activist judge?
