Still struggling to secure the votes to pass their border funding bill, House GOP leaders are discussing a way to add a provision that would bar the President from allowing any more deferments for children of undocumented workers in the U.S. now, according to a senior House GOP aide.
The change to the 2012 Obama administration policy known as "DACA" has been pushed by conservative Sen. Ted Cruz, and a group of House Republicans has also pressed House leaders to add it to their $659 million border measure.
Leaders are working out the mechanics for how the change would be added, but they are expected to allow a separate vote on the provision and then send the language to the Senate.
The White House already issued a veto threat on the House border bill, and Senate Democrats are not expected to take it up. But many rank-and-file Republican worry about going home for the five-week recess without passing something to address the border crisis.
It is good that it was added to the present bill, it only makes it a stronger measure for the American public to agree with. It is in the democrats hands now to decide if they are going to back hand the American wishes once again. HARRY REID IS THE PROBLEM HERE. He won't allow it to come to the floor for discussion and once again a Republican PLAN will be thwarted.
Democrats will bleed at the polls come November and HARRY REID will be religated to the dust bin of history.
"Will the Birthers Scrutinize Ted Cruz U.S. Citizenship? One has to wonder if the birthers will raise an outcry again"
I dunno why they would. They weren't "really" scrutinizing Obama's birth certificate and citizenship in the first place. They were scrutinizing his complexion and merely using the birth certificate and citizenship nonsense as a thin, superficial veil to hide the racism. It is known.
