Final day of Obama's Africa summit to focus on security and corruption

Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama will participate in a full day of discussion with African leaders Wednesday, turning the conversation to "overall prosperity" in the third and final day of the African Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C.

A White House official told CNN that the President will highlight the "complex security challenges" African countries face and how the United States can support them. The panel discussion is focused on "Peace and Regional Stability," one of three in which Obama will participate at the U.S. State Department Wednesday.

Maybe Obama should check his administration and their corruption before he starts dealing with other countries problems.

I guess this is why the President is to busy to comment about the death of General Greene.

Security and corruption!? That is really funny considering the lack of it ( security ) in the Obama administration and the total corruption of his administration. You just cannot get more funny than that!

Give him time. Who knows? Maybe he wants to talk to the family first. I understand that the son is over there, too. Besides, the right wing just wants to politicize another tragic assassination.

We have plenty of problems to fix right here at home. Obama hasn't been able to do that in 5.5 years, why do they think they can do it on another continent for backward countries?. Africa needs to clean up its own messes. If you think trying to help the Middle East was a disaster, Africa will be even worse.

"First lady Michelle Obama and former first lady Laura Bush will host a symposium on investments in education, health and public-private partnerships that runs simultaneously to the President's discussion."

Kudos to our First Ladies for showing the partisan groups in our country how this "bi-partisan" thingy is SUPPOSED to work.

Its amusing to hear the Right scream about corruption in the Obama administration without understanding what it is. Corruption is usually defined as actions that clearly benefit someone or something in an illegal manner, ie, a payout like the Karzai family in Afghanistan. Now, since the GOP can't prove that Obama has benefited personally from any of the things he has done as President, they now define corruption as Obama doing the job. Executive orders are not a sign of corruption, its a way to get things done when the House of Representatives has defined cooperation as Obama doing everything they want him to do, and to hell with the nation. Does anyone really expect Obama to take the House GOP seriously when they have not put forth anything in good faith that could be negotiated on?

Its a proven FACT conservatives give more to charities than any other segment of society. The conservative evangelicals give on average four times what liberals do so talk is cheap. By the way who do you think sends more resources by way of people and money over to Africa – I will give you a hint and its not self absorbed NY liberals.

Imbs, help the middle east? Your one delusional dude, I must say, so we didn't fix losing eight, nine hundred thousand jobs lost a month, a 401k that lost nearly 60% of its value? Its all too obvious your not among the working class, with careers, MacDonalds got you down? Get an education, your mom and dad can lend you the money, didn't mittens tell you, the median household income is 200k, recognizing your enemy is essential to overcoming them.

Just asking, you just won't admit if the gop could shut down those programs 100%, without being held responsible, it would be a no brainer to them, you don't see that? The statistics were over 50% of food stamp recipients are children, continue, you sound so christian like, I can hardly stand it.

    Oh, you want jokes?

The right plan to cut the budgets in the Ryan Plan defines what is not caring. If Romney had won, the cuts would already have been made. BTW, House Republicans have made significant cuts to those programs already.

Why don't you post your attacks under your other name anymore?

Only a communist lefty like you would consider the take down of a murderous dictator and his sons that killed hundreds of thousands of people, and replace it with a free country holding elections, not help.

Only a communist lefty like you would consider the take down of a murderous Taliban regime that killed hundreds of thousands of people, terrorized women and children and replace it with a free country holding elections, not help.

They protect their own. End of story.

Remember that guy out in California last week who tried to live a week on $40 and find a job? How come he didn't give to the charities and soup kitchens that kept him warm and fed for the week? If he had, you know that he would have been bragging about it.
