Henry Kissinger loves joking about Hillary Clinton 2016

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger used a short speech at the State Department on Wednesday to joke about the prospect of Hillary Clinton running for President in 2016.

Standing on stage with five other former or current secretaries of state, Kissinger - who served as secretary of state under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford - highlighted the work of diplomats and foreign service officers as he spoke at the groundbreaking for the United States Diplomacy Center, a museum set to honor diplomatic work.

Henry the K is still around? Cool! Henry was single when he was SoS, and his romantic exploits were the stuff of legend. I believe it was Henry who was quoted saying "Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac".

Say what you will, but Republicans have been lost the popular vote in 5 of the last 6 elections. Come 2016, the streak will extend to 6 of the last 7 because conservatism is taken right turn into the gutter. Listen to yourself. Do you actually think that scornful words like that are going convince moderates and independents to vote conservative? You are losers for a good reason, you're losers.

She's a joke alright! The mere mention of her name causes the entire Right Wing to lose what little minds they have! 😊😊

It kind of reminds me of the ACA... Even with the billions the Kochs spent trying to convince everyone how bad it was, apparently people are liking it and their liking it so much not very many GOPers are still screaming repeal.

Teatroll Rosetta Stone says: "Hi. I am the central architect of 6 years of government stagnation and gridlock, record filibusters, secret holds, blocked legislation, failed cloture votes, and even filibustering my own bills. If you want that to stop, you have to put me in power and control, otherwise I am going to continue doing it like a freekin 2 year old having a foot-stomping pamper-filling tantrum."

well, it was learned behavior. it was learned from the democrats that did the exact same thing when republicans controlled the senate. now the left squeals like the pigs they are when their own tactics are used against them. and guess what? that destruction of the 60 votes thingie by the democrats? get ready to reap the rewards of that stupidity when democrats get the boot this november. i can hardly wait to hear all you squealing like porkers! wha, wha, wha!!!

Laughable. Over 50% of the American still want it gone as it stands now. It is a disaster but now there are so many more Obama disasters to talk about, it gets pushed down the list. But make no mistake about it, Democrats will get the boot in record numbers again in November and it will be because of Obama and Obamacare, as well as all of his other disasters.

The American people have simply had enough of the incompetent far left Democrat Party.

Uh-huh. Republicans have been doubling down on that false talking point ever since the Democrats blocked a Bush appointee to the SCOTUS when Bush tried to appoint his White House Counsel to the position.

Not much of a joke you've got going there. Obama won twice with over 50% both times. If those who liked Obama vote for Hillary, she's a shoo-in. She will also be claiming on her side of the ledger those republicans who would never vote for Obama but will vote for her.

Do you really think that running against Obama is going to win over voters come 2016? Don't you realize that what people are hearing is that if Hillary wins, then Republicans will go back to the playbook and block everything? Do you think voters have forgotten about the "The Great Sucker Punch" that was the 2010 election cycle? Do you really think that voters will allow Republicans to retain control of Congress? What am I asking "do you really think: for?

All I know... Republicans are scared to death. They know if Hillary runs, she will win. That's why Rand Paul at this early stage, even before she has declared she is running, is trying his best to knock her down a few notches... It is NOT working....

When we look at current situation with potential presidential candidates Hilary is by far the most qualified. Despite what most the US voters demise as a "Washington insider", she clearly is the only one who is accepted by some of our nations most esteemed and notable figures. Whether we like it or not the whole idea of being a Washington insider is that they either know the inner workings of DC and or can get things done. And in todays current stalemate in the house and senate a president that can get things done would look pretty ideal. As serving as the secretary of state (varying on your opinion) she has created her foothold as essentially the successor for Obama in the Democratic Party. Even in recent months having semi disagreements with Obama over his foreign policy, and to cater to the vast numbers of voters Obama has lost over his weak and anemic foreign policy. In fact the idea of a split in which you have the isolationists supporting the far right will be the basis for Hilary's campaign as the Ukraine and Syria continue to get out of hand. All of this has put the Idea of Hilary Clinton as 45th president as a very real possibility and in a sense robust candidate for president.

Scared but at the same time they don't want to waste all the scary stories and lies and conspiracy theories they have invented about her. Now if Warren runs and looks successful, they will have to start from scratch!!

Not exactly. The White House Counsel is not a position that is confirmed by Congress. The Solicitor General argues cases for the entire government, not just a political party. The Solicitor General is not a political opponent until one party sues in a court of law to have something overturned, where it becomes THE DUT of the Solicitor General to argue in support of the law.
