On Facebook, Clinton's speech more popular than NFL kickoff game

(CNN) – President Clinton took the ball and ran with it last night, and Facebook has the numbers to prove it.

Even though the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants in last night's NFL season opener, it was the former president who garnered the most attention on Facebook. According to data provided to CNN from Facebook, Bill Clinton got more mentions on the site than the terms "Cowboys," "Giants," "football," and "Romo," the Cowboy's starting quarterback.

Toil and trouble over 'I'm not a witch' ad

(CNN) – Former Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is not a witch and says she hated the commercial that stated that fact.

Promoting her new book, Troublemaker, on several talk shows, the tea party poster-candidate admitted that the infamous spot which attempted to distance her from past comments that she'd "dabbled into witchcraft" wasn't the best choice.

Joe Miller agrees to pay legal fees

(CNN) - Joe Miller, who lost a 2010 senate bid against Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, announced he won't be appealing a court order requiring that he pay state legal fees incurred in his fight to overturn the election results.

"Given the amount at issue, it simply does not make good financial sense to move forward with the appeal," Miller said in a statement Thursday. "Pyrrhic victories are not my goal. Accordingly, this court fight ends today."

O'Donnell not a witch but a 'Troublemaker'

Washington (CNN) - While Christine O'Donnell lost her bid for the U.S. Senate in November, the Delaware Republican plans on reclaiming the media spotlight this summer with the release of her book, "Troublemaker: Let's Do What It Takes to Make America Great Again."

In an email sent to her PAC Tuesday, O'Donnell promised supporters to reveal "the real, raw story of my life," claiming that her closest advisers had concerns she was being "too honest, too open" while writing about her "bumpy journey into politics."

Report: 2010 was record breaking election for Latinos

Washington (CNN) – More Latinos voted in last year's elections than in any other midterm contest in the nation's history, but their voting participation lags behind other groups, according to a new report based on Census Bureau numbers.

An analysis of new Census Bureau data by the Pew Hispanic Center, a project of the Pew Research Center, indicates that more than 6.6 million Latinos cast ballots in last year's midterm elections, an increase of around one million from the 2006 midterms. Latinos represented 6.9 percent of all voters last year, up from 5.8 percent in 2006.

RNC bounces Steele, taps Wisconsin GOP leader as new chairman

Oxon Hill, Maryland (CNN) - The Republican National Committee tossed out controversy-plagued chairman Michael Steele Friday and tapped Wisconsin GOP Chairman Reince Priebus to lead the debt-ridden party organization into the 2012 presidential election cycle.

Priebus remains largely unknown to Washington's political class but is now tasked with rebuilding the committee's damaged relationship with deep-pocketed GOP donors and raising hundreds of millions of dollars to compete with President Obama's re-election campaign.
