Politics muted on 9/11 anniversary

New York (CNN) - The mudslinging on the campaign trail will stop and at the Capitol, Democrats will stand with fellow Republicans in a moment of rare bipartisanship. Two acts that signal the solemnity of September 11.

Eleven years after the horrific terrorist attacks, Americans will again pause Tuesday to remember with words and tears.

9/11 Commission co-chairs prod senators for cybersecurity action

Washington (CNN) – Tom Kean and Lee Hamilton, who co-chaired the 9/11 Commission, weighed in Monday on a simmering disagreement in the Senate over the best way to address the nation's vulnerability to cyberattacks.

The two men, who now run the Bipartisan Policy Center's Homeland Security project, are calling on senators to take more urgent action on the issue of cybersecurity.
