Ex-San Diego Mayor Bob Filner sentenced to home confinement, fines

(CNN) - Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner was sentenced Monday to 90 days in home confinement, three years probation, and a series of fines totaling about $1500 as part of a plea deal.

The 71-year-old pleaded guilty in October to kissing or grabbing three women at campaign events or at City Hall - one a felony false imprisonment charge, the other two misdemeanor battery charges.

Ex-San Diego mayor pleads guilty to all three charges

(CNN) - Former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony false imprisonment and two misdemeanor battery charges for his behavior against three women.

Filner entered the pleas as a part of an agreement with prosecutors. The felony charge accuses Filner of "false imprisonment by violence, fraud, menace and deceit."

San Diego Mayor Bob Filner resigns - but says he faced 'hysteria of a lynch mob'

(CNN) - San Diego Mayor Bob Filner will resign, a city official announced Friday, an action that Filner had long resisted despite being under intense public pressure to do amid a torrent of sexual harassment claims.

City Attorney Jan Goldsmith announced around 3:45 p.m. (6:45 p.m. ET) that the City Council, during a closed-door session, had accepted the terms of an agreement with Filner that was reached after three days of mediation talks.

Reports: Mayor Filner resignation agreement in works

(CNN) - San Diego Mayor Bob Filner will resign Friday if the San Diego City Council accepts a proposed mediation agreement, local TV stations reported Thursday.

An official familiar with the negotiations told CNN's Lindy Hall: "It is still our understanding that his resignation is part of the deal that the San Diego City Council needs to sign off on during tomorrow's closed session."

San Diego mayor out of rehab, but locked out of office

Los Angeles (CNN) - San Diego Mayor Bob Filner, facing a growing tide of sexual harassment allegations, has completed his two-week intensive behavior therapy a week early and will begin outpatient treatment, his lawyer said.

But he might not be back at work in his office any time soon. His chief of staff changed the locks, according to numerous reports, including one by CNN affiliate KFMB.

Dogged by sex scandal, San Diego Mayor Bob Filner to enter counseling

(CNN) - This is the day San Diego Mayor Bob Filner enters a behavior counseling clinic for two weeks of what he describes as intensive therapy.

The 70-year-old is battling a tide of sexual harrassment allegations, and is hoping that voluntarily subjecting himself to the counseling will quell the mounting calls for his resignation.
