
Washington (CNN) – After attending a noon-time speech by President Barack Obama that focused primarily on education reform, many of the nation’s most conservative governors spoke to reporters outside the White House on Monday and said they heard some things they liked in the president’s message.
“We absolutely have to have the best educational system in the entire world, so I do agree with the need for educational reform,” Louisiana’s Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal told reporters.

Jindal is one of the Texas governor's top surrogates and spent two days campaigning with the Republican presidential candidate in Iowa last week.

(CNN) - Republican Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who won re-election Saturday in a landslide victory, praised Texas Gov. Rick Perry's flat-tax plan Tuesday as a measure that would free up the private sector.

(CNN) - Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal was re-elected to a second term Saturday, winning in a landslide with little opposition from nine other candidates.
Jindal, who was widely favored to win, had 66% of the vote with 98% precincts reporting, according to unofficial results from the Secretary of State.

Tampa, Florida (CNN) – Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is backing Rick Perry for president, a major endorsement for the Texas governor as the campaign for the Republican nomination enters the crucial fall stretch of the primary calendar, a source tells CNN.
Jindal is on his way to Florida and will be Perry's guest at Monday night's "Tea Party Republican Debate" broadcast on CNN from Tampa, the source said. Jindal is expected to formally make the announcement prior to the debate.

(CNN) - Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal filed Tuesday to run for another four-year term in office.
"I am pleased and honored the people have entrusted me to be their governor these past three and a half years,” Jindal said in an e-mail to supporters. “I'm officially asking them today to elect me to a second term.”
