Updated 2:34 p.m. ET, 3/13/2014

Mount Laurel, New Jersey (CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's town hall Thursday was repeatedly interrupted by what appeared to be a coordinated effort by hecklers, four of whom took turns shouting at the governor when other audience members tried to ask questions.

The first protester stood up about 35 minutes into the event and hollered at the governor from across the room about Superstorm Sandy relief aid.

Poll: Majority don't believe Christie, Clinton explanations

(CNN) – A majority of Americans don't believe the explanations by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about two controversies that continue to dog them as they seriously consider White House runs, according to a new national poll.

And another new survey indicates Clinton topping Christie by double digits in one of the most important states in the race for the White House.

Former top Christie aide wants to see new emails

Updated 5:55 p.m. ET, 3/12/14

(CNN) – The attorney for a former top aide to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Wednesday demanded that state officials investigating a political scandal roiling his administration turn over additional emails they have uncovered.

The move comes a day after the attorney representing the state legislative investigative committee, Reid Schar, asked a judge to enforce a subpoena seeking documents from the ex-aide, former Christie campaign manager Bill Stepien, and another former official, Bridget Kelly, who was the governor's deputy chief of staff.

Former Christie aide fights subpoena in court

Updated 6:17 p.m. ET, 3/11/2014

Trenton, New Jersey (CNN) - A former top aide to Chris Christie was in court on Tuesday to fight a subpoena from a state legislative committee investigating a political scandal roiling the New Jersey governor's administration.

It was Bridget Anne Kelly's first public appearance since losing her job in January over suggestions top Christie appointees orchestrated traffic jams near the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee last year to punish that town's mayor for not backing their boss for reelection.

Cuomo: Future of Port Authority board chair up to Christie

(CNN) – New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo kept his distance on Monday from controversy surrounding Port Authority Chairman David Samson, who is under pressure over agency business dealings and whose name has surfaced in a separate political scandal roiling the administration of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

"The chairman of the Port Authority is an appointee of the governor of New Jersey and I will leave it to the governor of New Jersey to make that decision," Cuomo told WNYC radio host Brian Lehrer when asked whether Samson should resign.

Feds try to contact former top Christie aide, family

(CNN) – A federal investigator tried contacting a former top deputy to Gov. Chris Christie as well as members of her family as part of its investigation into a political scandal roiling his administration, court papers showed on Thursday.

It is the second time this week that U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman's office has been shown to be on the ground actively probing suggestions that top Christie appointees orchestrated traffic jams near the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee last year to politically punish that town's mayor for not endorsing the governor for reelection.

Obama's foreign policy a target of opportunity for CPAC speakers

(CNN) – Conservative heavyweights, some of whom might launch White House campaigns, contend a weak foreign policy under President Barack Obama emboldened Russia to intervene militarily in Ukraine.

The European crisis wasn't at the top of the agenda at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, but a number of speakers put it at the top of theirs.
