The best Q&As from Christie’s Facebook chat

(CNN) - Gov. Chris Christie stopped by Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California, where he spoke with employees and also did a live chat for about an hour Friday night.

The governor’s blunt style came across on a computer screen just as well as it does on camera.

“Is there a way to impeach yourself?” one person asked.

“Unfortunately for you, no,” Christie responded.

Top aide says bridge scandal became ‘major distraction’ for Christie

Trenton, New Jersey (CNN) - The George Washington Bridge scandal had become "a major distraction" to Gov. Chris Christie last December, according to his chief of staff, who also said on Monday that a central figure in the uproar denied any involvement when confronted.

Kevin O'Dowd became the most senior member of the Christie administration to testify before a legislative committee looking into the controversy that has upended the Republican’s administration just as he considers a bid for president in 2016.

‘It’s all garbage,’ Christie on criticism he isn’t popular outside N.J.

(CNN) - Known for his blunt, tough-talking disposition, Gov. Chris Christie said he’s confident his personality can take root in places beyond New Jersey–that is if his political aspirations expand nationwide someday.

“I hear people say all the time, ‘Oh you know, you wouldn’t play well in the South, or you wouldn’t play well in Iowa.’ It’s all garbage. People are people,” the Republican governor said Monday on Sports Radio 94WIP Philadelphia.

Christie named 'Father of the Year'

(CNN) – Chris Christie, the tough-talking Republican governor of New Jersey, got to show off his softer side Wednesday as he accepted an award for being "Father of the Year."

"I get recognized and criticized and praised for all kinds of other things. But the most important thing I get to do every day is to be a father to my four children," he said. "And it is the most lasting and important thing that I'll ever do with my life."

Washington (CNN) – New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will campaign in New Hampshire this month for Walt Havenstein, a Republican running for his party's gubernatorial nomination, a New Hampshire GOP source tells CNN.

Christie is chairman of the Republican Governors Association, the fundraising and political organization charged with helping to elect GOP gubernatorial candidates.

On southern road trip, Christie preaches compromise

Nashville, Tennessee (CNN) — Chris Christie swept into Tennessee on Friday and did all the things that Chris Christie does best.

He raised a barrel full of money, for the Republican Governors Association and the Tennessee GOP. A consummate political performer, he backslapped his way through two fawning campaign crowds, one in Memphis and one in Nashville, posing for pictures and obliging starstruck Republicans who complimented him on his weight loss.

Christie chides Obama over VA 'disgrace'

Nashville, Tennessee (CNN) - Chris Christie sharply criticized President Barack Obama’s management of the Veterans Affairs scandal on Friday, calling the resignation of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki “long overdue.”

“I wish that the President had been more aggressive since minute one to go in and fix it himself, because what’s happened there is a disgrace,” Christie said in a brief interview on Friday, hours after Shinseki met with the President and stepped down from his post.

Christie, Martinez hit the trail in New Mexico

(CNN) - Govs. Chris Christie and Susana Martinez certainly weren't trying to tamp down their mutual admiration Thursday, making a joint appearance that could further fuel speculation of a potential presidential ticket.

Talking to reporters after a meet-and-greet in Roswell, New Mexico, Christie labeled Martinez "one of my best friends in the entire Republican Governors Association."
