Christie calls for more forceful foreign policy

(CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie painted a bleak picture of America's standing in the world on Sunday, blaming the Obama administration for making the country appear weak by not defending the nation's values in other parts of the globe.

"No one understands any longer who America stands with or against," he argued. "No one really understands exactly what we'll stand for - and what we are willing to sacrifice to stand up for it."

Christie to speak at Jewish event, weeks after 'occupied territories' comment

(CNN) - If Chris Christie lost favor with some in the Jewish community with what he called a misstatement about Israel earlier this year, then the New Jersey governor may have a chance to make up for it.

The Republican, who's thinking about running for president in 2016, will deliver the keynote address Sunday at an awards gala hosted by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach's "This World: Values Network" in New York.

Updated at 1:31 p.m. ET, 5/14/2014

(CNN) – New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he takes fellow Republican Jeb Bush “at his word” that he hasn’t yet made a decision whether to seek the presidency, and says it would be hard to run against him because of their good relationship.

Appearing on his monthly “Ask the Governor” radio program on New Jersey 101.5 on Tuesday, Christie said that it would be stressful if he and the former Florida governor were in the race at the same time for the 2016 GOP nomination.
