Washington (CNN) - Contractors on the problem-plagued website for President Barack Obama's signature health care reforms blamed the government and each other, but not themselves, at the first Congressional hearing on the troubled online enrollment system.
Angry exchanges between Republicans who oppose Obamacare and Democrats defending it erupted repeatedly, while officials of companies hired to create the HealthCare.gov website insisted their work went fine even though the software buckled when the system went online on October 1.FULL STORY
(CNN) - The contractors who've been under fire for weeks because the Obamacare website debacle finally get their chance to respond to questions of who's to blame on Thursday at a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing.

Washington (CNN) - Contractors who helped develop the embattled Obamacare website blame each other and the government, but not themselves, in testimony prepared for Thursday's first congressional hearing on the problems engulfing the online enrollment system.

New York (CNNMoney) – Forget a grand bargain. Most people will be relieved if Congress can just agree on funding for fiscal year 2014, which started three weeks ago.
Lawmakers have until mid-January, when the current round of temporary government funding expires, to figure it out. If they don't, the country could be at risk of yet another shutdown.FULL STORY
Washington (CNN) - In a sign of the political hangover congressional Republicans are suffering in the wake of the government shutdown, three-quarters of Americans in a new national poll say that most GOP members of Congress don't deserve to be re-elected.
A CNN/ORC International survey released Monday also found a majority saying that the Republicans' policies are too extreme. And according to the poll, Democrats have an 8-point advantage over the Republicans in an early indicator in the battle for control of Congress. But with more than a year to go until the 2014 midterm elections, there's plenty of time for these numbers to change.FULL STORY
(CNN) - If Republicans suffer losses in next year's mid-term elections because of the recent partial government shutdown, Sen. Ted Cruz said Senate Republicans–not Democrats–will be responsible.
"The single-most damaging thing that has happened to Republicans for 2014 is all of the Senate Republicans coming out, attacking the House Republicans, attacking those pushing the effort to defund Obamacare and lining themselves up opposite of the American people," Cruz told CNN Chief Congressional Correspondent Dana Bash in an interview in San Antonio.
