
(CNN) – Former President Jimmy Carter offered his unique insight and perspective on the motion picture "Argo," an Oscar-nominated film that's based on actual events occurring during his presidency.
While he said the movie was a "great drama," Carter told CNN's Piers Morgan there was one key discrepancy.
"Ninety percent of the contributions to the ideas and the consummation of the plan was Canadian," Carter said. "The movie gives almost full credit to the American CIA. And with that exception, the movie's very good."

(CNN) – A political analyst who predicted that GOP nominee Mitt Romney would win the White House in November says Fox News may have ousted him from their payroll to make him a "poster child."
Fox did not renew its contract with Dick Morris, he said on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" on Wednesday. The conservative pollster said the reason is "because I was wrong, and I was wrong at the top of my lungs."

(CNN) – Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut parted with two of his close friends in the Senate - Sen. John McCain and Sen. Lindsey Graham - on the question of Susan Rice's role after the Libya consulate attack and whether it could affect a potential cabinet nomination.
"I've been over all of the intelligence that we had before she went on TV that Sunday morning, I went over all of her comments. I don't think she's disqualified based on anything she said that morning," the senator said, reiterating his defense of the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

(CNN) – Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist explained Monday his recent switch to the Democratic Party, saying the GOP has become "less tolerant (and) less welcoming."
"I didn't leave the Republican Party, the Republican Party left me," Crist said on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight," repeating a line he used at the Democratic National Convention. "Issue after issue they seem to get more strident and more difficult."

(CNN) - Newark, New Jersey, Mayor Cory Booker did not deny his interest in seeking higher political office in an interview on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" Friday, when he also spoke about living for a week on food stamps.
"It's a little more difficult than I imagined," said Booker, a Democrat. "I thought it would be good on eating on a tight budget, so I started out not really marshalling my food well, so I'm really cutting back now."

(CNN) - While many Republicans have already diagnosed their party's problems after the presidential loss earlier this month, the chairman of the Republican National Committee is saying not so fast.
"I don't think you can draw any quick conclusions other than the fact that we lost and we know that," Reince Priebus said Tuesday on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight," the chairman's first television interview since the election. "But in order to get back in the game, you've got to look at and do a full autopsy of what happened."
